The author realises that the modern concept of progress is unsuitable to man since it derives from the mono-dimensional biological view of human nature. Hence, human happiness is largely perceived from the standpoint of material development. However, the human being is a species capable of moving beyond natural instincts thanks to its instinctive insufficiency due to which its happiness is also placed outside of the materialist sphere, within the state of self-actualisation as the only state which is aligned with human nature or its original openness to the world. The author also recognises late modern living conditions are aligned with human nature and thus advanced since they, given the facts of material security and relative independence of structural constraints, encourage the individual in the direction of self-reflection, greater autonomy and consequently boost the chances of the development of self-realised, happy people</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Članek obravnava klasični sociološki koncept človeškega napredka, mu na podlagi refleksije njegove moderne postavitve podeli drugačno vsebino in jo v drugem delu aplicira na sodobne bivanjske okoliščine. Kot skladne s človeško naravo in zato napredne avtorica prepoznava tudi poznomoderne bivanjske okoliščine, saj z dejstvom materialne varnosti in relativne strukturne nedoločenosti spodbujajo posameznika k samorefleksivnosti, večji avtonomiji in na ta način povečujejo možnost razvoja samoizpolnjenih oziroma srečnih ljudi</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CTQJ7LMK"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CTQJ7LMK" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CTQJ7LMK/edf31c79-5d2b-47c6-a2c4-daf8fecd136d/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovensko sociološko društvo</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CTQJ7LMK/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CTQJ7LMK" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
