This membrane made it possible to separate salt from water using pressure, which was a key step for the practical application of the technology. Commercial use of reverse osmosis (hereafter RO) for seawater desalination began in the 1960s. The technology has undergone great improvements since then and is now widely used for drinking water treatment, industrial water extraction and other applications where high water quality is required. With the help of membrane processes, we achieve the separation of the dissolved parts of the liquid. The oil focuses mainly on reverse osmosis water treatment. We also presented all the components of reverse osmosis and described water treatment before entering reverse osmosis and water treatment for reverse osmosis. At the end of the article, we also added the system that is used when we talk about the safety of property and people. Since we have several types of membrane water treatment processes, it is very important to consider all factors in order to select the system required for a specific function"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Pomembni mejnik v razvoju reverzne osmoze je bil dosežen leta 1959, ko so raziskovalci s Kalifornijske univerze v Los Angelesu (UCLA) in Univerze v Floridi razvili prve učinkovite membrane za reverzno osmozo. Ta membrana je omogočala ločevanje soli iz vode z uporabo pritiska, kar je bil ključni korak za praktično uporabo tehnologije. Komercialna uporaba reverzne osmoze (v nadaljevanju RO) za desalinizacijo morske vode se je začela v 1960-ih letih. Tehnologija je od takrat doživela številne izboljšave in se danes pogosto uporablja za čiščenje pitne vode, pridobivanje industrijske vode in v drugih aplikacijah, kjer je potrebna visoka kakovost vode. S pomočjo membranskih postopkov dosežemo ločevanje raztopljenih delcev od tekočin. Osredotočili smo se predvsem na obdelavo vode s sistemom reverzne osmoze. Predstavili smo tudi vse sestavne dele reverzne osmoze in opisali obdelavo vode pred vstopom v reverzno osmozo in obdelavo vode za reverzno osmozo. Na koncu prispevka smo dodali tudi sistem, ki je uporaben, ko govorimo o varnosti premoženja in ljudi.
