In the last decades, emerging area of interest is the impact of environmental exposures to human health. Important environmental pollutants are endocrine-disrupting che- micals (EDCs), which can have adverse e ects on the living organism due to their interference with the endocrine system. The group of known EDCs embraces ubiquitous synthetic substan- ces used as industrial lubricants and solvents, with their by-products, incomplete combustion remains, pharmaceuticals and personal care products, pesticides and plasticizers. Natural com- pounds such as genistein, a phytoestrogen, and heavy metals can also have endocrine e ects. Endocrine disruption is a serious public health problem. EDCs among other health problems ge- nerate reproductive disorders in males, such as decreases in sperm count and quality, increases in testicular germ cell numbers, prostate and breast cancers, cryptorchidism and hypospadias, impaired fertility, and infertility. This paper critically reviews the current knowledge of the impa- ct of EDCs on reproductive disorders in human males</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Uravnoteženo delovanje hormonskega sistema zagotavlja rast in razvoj, razmnoževanje in normalno delovanje vseh drugih organskih sistemov v telesu. Motnje endokrinega sistema so resen problem javnega zdravja. KPEM med drugim povzročajo reproduktivne motnje pri moških, kot so zmanjšano število speremskih celic in njihovo nižjo kakovost, rak prostate in dojk, kriptorhizem in hipospadijo, zmanjšano plodnost in neplodnost. V prispevku je predstavljen kritičen pregled trenutnega znanja o vplivih KPHM na reproduktivne motnje pri moških</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CBECVT7X"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CBECVT7X" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CBECVT7X/8bd5bacf-386e-41f6-8dae-6bd9e3b9feb7/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovensko zdravniško društvo</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CBECVT7X/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-CBECVT7X" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
