Z eksploratorno faktorsko analizo je bila potrjena ustreznost lestvice novodobništva, ki sledi Heelasu (l996b) in Lavriču (2002; 2005). V treh evropskih okoljih je bila ugotovljena statistično značilna pozitivna povezanost med religioznostjo in novodobniškimi idejami ter med tradicionalizmom in religioznostjo, v vseh štirih pa pozitivna povezanost med tradicionalizmom in novodobništvom. Povezave so obstajale tudi ob kontroli sociodemografskih spremenljivk.
