Measurements were made on experimental plot in the urban part of the city of Ljubljana on two groups of trees: silver birch (Betula pendula Roth.) and scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.). Analyses and comparison of throughfall and stemflow were made for the period from June 2004 to December 2006 which was divided into four vegetation periods. The rainfall above the canopy was measured automatically with a tipping bucket rain gauge with digital recording of results every 10 minutes in combination with manual Helman's rain gauge for control. The throughfall was measured using a combination of fixed gauges with digital recording of results every 10 minutes and manual roving gauges. The stemflow was measured manually on one tree of each species. The results of the measurements showed that the throughfall for silver birch was 57-70 % of grossprecipitation and for scots pine 35-49 % which is comparable with the results of other similar studies around the world. The stemflow fraction for silver birch amounted to 1.1-6.7 % of gross precipitation and it was practically negligible for scots pine. On the basis of these results we can also conclude that planting of trees in parks, parking lots and other urban areas (bioretainment) could effectively reduce stormwater runoff and therewithcosts of draining"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Študija prikazuje meritve, primerjavo in analizo prestreženih padavin iglastih in listnatih dreves v parkovnem nasadu. Meritve so potekale na raziskovalni ploskvi v urbanem predelu mesta Ljubljane, in sicer na dveh skupinah dreves: navadne breze (Betula pendula Roth.) in rdečega bora (Pinus sylvestris L). Analize in primerjave prepuščenih padavin in odtoka po deblu so narejene za obdobje od junija 2004 do decembra 2006, ki je bilo razdeljeno na štiri obdobja: brez listja, olistanje, na višku rasti, odpadanje listja. Padavine nad drevesnimi krošnjami smo merili z ombrografom z avtomatskim zapisovanjem rezultatov na vsakih 10 minut ter s Helmanovim dežemerom z ročnimodčitavanjem za kontrolo. Prepuščene padavine smo merili s kombinacijo stalnih (korita) in pomičnih merilcev (totalizatorji) z avtomatskim zapisovanjem na 10 minut in ročnim odčitavanjem. Odtok po deblu smo merili ročno na po enem drevesu vsake vrste. Rezultati meritev so pokazali, da breze prepustijo 57 do 70 %, bori pa 35 do 49 % padavin, kar je primerljivo z rezultati drugih podobnih študij po svetu. Odtok po deblu je bil pri brezi 1,1do 6,7 % padavin in pri boru praktično zanemarljiv.
