Firstly, the methodology for timebased seismic risk assessment is briefly described. Then follows the application of the methodology on the existing and retrofitted building. The comparison of the results indicates that the resistance and the spectral accelerations causing multiple damage states increase by 100% in the case of the retrofitted building. Additionally, its seismic risk is decreased by a factor of 4 in terms of probability of exceeding damage states. The expected annual loss for the existing building is 1460€ (340€/100m2 of gross floor area) and for the retrofitted building 360€ (60€/100m2). It is also shown that non-structural elements account for more than 70% of the total loss</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V prispevku demonstriramo metodologijo za kvantifikacijo potresnega tveganja v smislu verjetnosti porušitve in pričakovanih ekonomskih izgub na primeru obstoječe zidane stavbe, ki je bila deležna potresne utrditve in rekonstrukcije. Najprej je predstavljena metodologija za oceno potresnega tveganja, ki se izraža na časovno enoto in ne na potresni scenarij, kot je to običajno v inženirski praksi. Sledi uporaba metodologije na primeru obstoječe in potresno utrjene zidane stavbe. Opisani so tudi ukrepi, s katerimi je bila obstoječa zidana stavbe utrjena in rekonstruirana. Primerjava rezultatov pokaže, da so se nosilnost rekonstruiranega objekta in pospeški za izbrana mejna stanja poškodovanosti objekta povečali za približno 100%, kar se odraža v približno 4-krat zmanjšani verjetnosti prekoračitve mejnih stanj. Pričakovana letna izguba obstoječe stavbe znaša 1460€ oziroma 340€/100m2, za rekonstrukcijo pa 360€ oziroma 60€/100m2.
