Indictments stated they were all Slovenes. Their guilt? As Carinthian Slovenes they were not obedient to the standards of the Nazi regime. The Reich prosecutor accused them of high treason. While the events, their prehistory and consequences were erased from the historic memory of the German speaking public, different, partly conflicting stories gradually appeared in the Slovene speaking population. Later on, members of the German speaking population and its media started resuming and partly transforming these stories in such a way as to aggravate the conflict potential, immanent to the original stories. The issues concerning possible traitors and deliberately ignoring or distancing from different Resistance activists and groups to whom they had belonged, remains topical even todayAm 29. April 1943, vor 70 Jahren, wurden zwölf Männer und eine Frau aus Kärnten im Wiener Landesgericht durch das Fallbeil hingerichtet. Die Anklageschriften vermerkten, dass sie sämtlich Slovenen seien. Ihr Vergehen? Als Kärntner Slowenen hatten sie sich nicht den Normen des NS-Regimes unterworfen. In der Anklage der Reichsanwaltschaft wurde ihnen Hochverrat vorgeworfen. Während innerhalb der deutschsprachigen Kärntner Gesellschaft die Ereignisse jener Tage, ihre Vorgeschichte und die Konsequenzen daraus lange ausgeblendet blieben, bildeten sich innerhalb der slowenischsprachigen Gesellschaft allmählich unterschiedliche, sich zum Teil konträr gegenüberstehende Widerstandserzählungen heraus, die später von Vertretern der deutschsprachigen Bevölkerung bzw. ihrer Medien übernommen und zum Teil überformt wurden und damit das den Erzählungen innewohnende Konfliktpotential verschärften. Die Frage nach möglichen Verrätern und der Abgrenzung von bzw. Ausgrenzung einzelner Widerstandsaktivisten bzw. deren Gruppierungen ist bis heute aktuell29. aprila 1943 so v dunajskem deželnem sodišču obglavili dvanajst moških in eno žensko iz Koroške. V obtožnicah je bilo zabeleženo, da so bili vsi Slovenci. Njihova krivda? Kot koroški Slovenci se niso pokorili normam nacističnega režima. Rajhovski tožilec jim je očital veleizdajo. Medtem ko je nemško govoreča koroška javnost te dogodke, njihovo predzgodovino in njihove posledice izbrisala iz svojega zgodovinskega spomina, so se v slovensko govoreči družbi postopoma razvila različna pripovedovanja, ki so si deloma tudi nasprotovala. Pripadniki nemško govorečega prebivalstva oziroma njihovi mediji so ta pripovedovanja pozneje začeli prevzemati in deloma preoblikovati tako, da so zaostrili konfliktni potencial, ki je bil imanenten prvotnim pripovedovanjem.
