Digital technologies play a key role in enabling such learning, particularly adaptive learning platforms based on learning analytics and artificial intelligence. In addition to the advantages highlighted in this article, we also address some of the challenges associated with the use of digital technologies in personalized learning. These include risks related to data privacy and protection, limited transparency in algorithmic decision-making, and a potential reduction in teacher and learner autonomy. We give particular attention to issues of equity, as algorithmic systems may reproduce cultural, social, and systemic biases, while many platforms are feebased and therefore not accessible to all learners. We conclude the article with a call for empirical research on the effects of modern technologies in personalized learning to enable informed assessment of their pedagogical, ethical, and equity-related challenges</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Za personalizirano učenje je značilno, da je časovno in vsebinsko prilagojeno vsakemu učencu posebej ter upošteva razlike v predznanju, interesih in tempu učenja. Ključno vlogo pri omogočanju takšnega učenja imajo digitalne tehnologije, zlasti prilagodljive učne platforme, ki temeljijo na učni analitiki in umetni inteligenci. Poleg prednosti v prispevku izpostavljamo tudi nekatere izzive uporabe digitalnih tehnologij pri personaliziranem učenju. Med njimi so tveganja, povezana z zasebnostjo in varovanjem podatkov, omejena transparentnost algoritmično podprtih odločitvenih procesov ter zmanjševanje avtonomije učitelja in učenca. Posebno pozornost namenjamo vprašanju pravičnosti, saj lahko algoritmični sistemi reproducirajo kulturne, družbene in sistemske pristranskosti, hkrati pa so številne platforme plačljive in zato niso dostopne vsem.
