We show how to use the diet in practice. Protocol and calculations are presented. We look toward possible future uses of the ketogenic diet, since it is efficient, under doctorćs supervison safe, but very demanding, additional treatment"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Izhodišča Ketogena dieta (KD) je način prehrane z visoko vsebnostjo maščob, nizko vsebnostjo ogljikovih hidratov in ustreznim beljakovinskim vnosom. Uporablja se pri zdravljenju trdovratne epilepsije v otroškem in odraslem obdobju ter ob določenih metabolnih motnjah: pomanjkanju piruvatne dehidrogenaze (PDH) in pomanjkanju transporterja za glukozo (GLUT1). ZaključkiV prispevku predstavimo dieto, mehanizem delovanja in njeno uporabo. Praktično prikažemo uporabo diete z ustreznimi izračuni. Predstavimo protokol pri uporabi ketogene diete.
