In this study NGIA (Near Grazing Incidence Angle) reflectance FTIR (Fourier Transformed Infrared) spectroscopy has been used for the identification and characterization of the crystallization forms of calcium carbonate influenced by magnetic field treatment. Spectra obtained from the thin films of calcium carbonate crystalls, grown from haard water on different substrates, have been studied. The influence of impurity ions, which are usually present in ordinary tape water (such as iron, copper and zinc) and appear to favor the formation of arragonite rather than calcite crystalls after the magnetic treatment, was confirmed. The morphological differences between magnetically treated and untreated samples, i.e. crystalls grown from this samples, were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM)"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Ugotovljeno je bilo, da je na nukleacijo in kristalizacijo kalcijevega karbonata v vodi mogoče vplivati z delovanjem zunanjega magnetnega polja. Za identifikacijo in karakterizacijo kristalizaacijskih oblik kalcijevega karbonata po tretiranju vode z magnetnim poljem smo uporabljali NGIA (Near Grazing Incident Angle) refleksijsko FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red) spektroskopijo. Snemali smo spektre na tankih filmih kalcijevega karbonata, ki smo jih dobili s sušenjem trde vode na različnih substratih. Tako smo študirali vpliv elementov v sledovih, kot so železo, baker in cink, ki so navadno prisotni v vodovodni vodi, na prednostno tvorbo aragonita namesto kalcita ob istočasnem delovanju magnetnega polja.
