Its short- and long-term consequences on cognitive, behavioral and physical functioning are not limited to injury itself but are closely connected with the secondary cellular metabolic and vascular changes after the acute impact. High mortality, extremelly demanding acute treatment, long term need for intensive rehabilitation and inevitably permanent deficits on subject%s multi-level functioning, render severe traumatic brain injuries the most acute medicosocial problem of the developed world. There are many different national guidelines available in the literature for rehabilitation of subjects after traumatic brain injury. A protocol for early recognition and prevention of complications after and during admission in the rehabilitation programme serves as a protection against events that too often prevent an effective progress in rehabilitation, entail serious long-term consequenses for the patient and cause additional costs of medical care. The Slovenian guidelines for rehabilitation after moderate / severe traumatic brain injury in acute and post-acute phase are presented</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Nezgodna možganska poškodba je vsaka nedegenerativna in neprirojena poškodba možganov, ki nastane zaradi delovanja zunanje sile in vključuje posledice neposrednih zapletov te poškodbe ter vodi v začasne ali trajne posledice na področju vedenjsko-kognitivnega, kliničnomedicinskega in psiho-socialnega delovanja. V prispevku so predstavljena priporočila za obravnavo bolnikov po zmerni in težki možganski poškodbi v akutnem in poakutnem obdobju v Sloveniji</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-8GHGFIU5"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:DOC-8GHGFIU5" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-8GHGFIU5/8700eb82-d9f6-42c3-bcdc-8a3d1a0a8e45/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovensko zdravniško društvo</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-8GHGFIU5/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-8GHGFIU5" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
