Contrary to some of the recent literature which emphasises a weak or non-existent connection between class positions and patterns of television consumption, the author uses the Slovenian sample to show that class and education differentiate television preferences significantly although only in some segments of the television repertoire. In the conclusion of the paper, the importance of studying television preferences in connection with other fields of cultural consumption is stressed"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Izhajajoč iz empirične raziskave Medijska potrošnja, razred in kulturna stratifikacija, ki je bila izvedena z vprašalnikom na vzorcu 820 prebivalcev Ljubljane in Maribora, v članku preverjamo povezavo med razredom, izobrazbo in televizijskim okusom ter se posledično sprašujemo, kakšno vlogo igra potrošnja televizije v organizaciji razrednih distinkcij. V nasprotju z delom novejše literature, ki ugotavlja šibko povezavo med razrednimi pozicijami in vzorci televizijske potrošnje, na slovenskem vzorcu pokažemo, da poklicni razred in izobrazba pomembno diferencirata občinstvo, čeprav le na omejenem segmentu žanrov oziroma televizijskih oddaj.
