Low amounts of different mineral components are added in order to optimize the manufacturig process and to modify the properties as well as the product image. Results of the investigations of the fired clay bodies are presented in the article. The clay bodies were fired in the oxidation and in the reduction atmosphere at different temperatures. Different amounts of grog, ?$MnO_2$?, ?$TiO_2$?, quartz and fritta were added. Investigations of the thin and polished sections of the fired bodies by optical microscope proved the existence of black cores as well as a relationship between porosity, the firing temperature and the amount of the fritta added. In addition, a partial melting of the added mineral components and the influence of the added mineral components on the microscopic image of the clay product was also proved"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Za izdelavo gradbene keramike uporabljamo v Sloveniji plastično glino, ki da po žganju rdečo črepinjo. Za optimizacijo sestave mase glede procesa izdelave oblikovanca, žganja ter za doseganje spreminjanja končnih lastnosti in videza izdelka uporabljajo proizvajalci različne dodatke. V sestavku so predstavljeni rezultati preiskav glinenih oblikovancev po žganju v oksidacijski in redukcijski atmosferi pri različnih končnih temperaturah z dodatki opečnega zdroba, ?$MnO_2$?, ?$TiO_2$?, kremenovega peska in frite.
