Evaluation results represent an important source of information in the process of planning future activities. My Master's Thesis deals with the libraries of the University of Ljubljana and offers some new possibilities for evaluation activities among the libraries mentioned above, which were designed after examining their current conditions, readiness to cooperate on evaluation projects and practical solutions for different library systems described in literature assessing the quality of library services. The Thesis focuses on the library service quality survey - the assessment tool called LibQUAL+ designed by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). LibQUAL+ was adapted from an established service quality survey known as SERVQUAL which was developed for private sector. It is based on gap theory and designed to measure minimum, perceived and desired expectations of service quality"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Tako kot za vse nepridobitne oz. storitvene organizacije, velja tudi za knjižnice, da evalvirajo dejavnosti in storitve glede na različne vidike in da pri tem uporabljajo različne načine meritev. Rezultati predstavljajo vir podatkov za načrtovanje dejavnosti. Predmet obravnave v magistrski nalogi so knjižnice Univerze v Ljubljani. Na podlagi ugotovljenega stanja in pripravljenosti knjižnic sodelovati pri projektih evalvacije ter na osnovi izsledkov tuje in domače literature, podkrepljene s praktičnimi rešitvami za različne knjižnične sisteme, so bile oblikovane nekatere rešitve za postopke evalvacije med omenjenimi knjižnicami. Izpostavljenaje bila anketna tehnika vprašalnika po zgledu orodja LibQUAL+ za ugotavljanje knjižničnih storitev, ki so ga ameriške raziskovalne knjižnice razvile iz orodja SERVQUAL za ugotavljanje kakovosti v ekonomskem okolju. Orodje za ugotavljanje kakovosti temelji na teoriji razkoraka, kar pomeni, da uporabniki podajajo menja o minimalni, dejanski in želeni kakovosti. Z razkorakom med omenjenimi ocenami knjižnice ugotavljajo, katere vidike dejavnosti morajo izboljšati. Predlog vprašalnika za ugotavljanje kakovosti knjižničnih storitev, predstavljen v magistrski nalogi, je prilagojen posebnostim izbranih knjižnic, upoštevani pa so tudi rezultati testiranj med uporabniki omenjenih knjižnic.
