Its development is infl uenced by a complex interplay between the immune and nervous systems, as well as environmental factors such as UV radiation. Treatment is individually tailored based on the clinical phenotype and includes topical and systemic agents, such as metronidazole, ivermectin, and doxycycline. Newer options, including foambased minocycline, have also emerged. Promising therapeutic approaches are currently under development. A holistic approach is essential, incorporating trigger avoidance, lifestyle modifi cations, and psychological support when needed. Early recognition and timely treatment signifi cantly infl uence disease progression and improve patients’ quality of life"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Rozacea je kronična vnetna bolezen kože, ki se klinično kaže z rdečico, papulami, pustulami, teleangiektazijami in v težjih primerih s fi matoznimi spremembami ter z očesnimi težavami. Na njen razvoj vpliva zapletena interakcija med imunskim in živčnim sistemom ter okoljskimi dejavniki, kot je UV-sevanje. Zdravljenje se individualno prilagodi glede na klinično sliko. Vključuje učinkovine za lokalno in sistemsko zdravljenje, kot so metronidazol, ivermektin in doksiciklin. Med novejše možnosti terapije uvrščamo zdravljenje z minociklinom v obliki pene. Ključnega pomena je celosten pristop, ki vključuje izogibanje sprožilcem, prilagoditev življenjskega sloga in po potrebi psihološko podporo.
