The paper presents the characteristics of different hormonal substances. Glavne skupine spolnih hormonov so tri: estrogeni, gestageni in androgeni. V hormonskem zdravljenju uporabljamo naravne, polsintetične ali sintetične spolne hormone, ki se med sabo razlikujejo v bioloških učinkih. V prispevku prikazujemo značilnosti različnih hormonskih učinkovin.
