Multiple management objectives are considered in the same forest area; however, their importance may vary, mainly because of differences in (1) natural conditions, (2) the demands of society and forest owners and (3) the management possibilities for achieving the desired objectives. An important part of the integration model is the designation of priority areas which are of relatively greater importance for the selected management objectives than for the forests outside of these areas. Priority areas for the most important management objectives do not exclude other objectives; the latter are only given less importance and therefore lower priority in the decision-making regarding future forest management. In Slovenia, two main types of priority areas are used in multi-objective forest planning: (1) forests with important forest functions and (2) protected forestareas. Some concerns about the current concept of priority areas in multi-objective forest planning have been observed. For this reason, we propose possible supplements to the classification of priority areas and the ways of their use in the multi-objective forest planning"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V Sloveniji je uveljavljen integracijski model večnamenskega gospodarjenja; na istem gozdnem prostoru je več ciljevgospodarjenja, njihov pomen pa je lahko različen. Na pomen vplivajo: (1) naravne danosti, (2) zahteve lastnikov in javnosti ter (3) upravljavske možnosti uresničevanje zahtev. Pomemben sestavni del integracijskega modela je določanje prednostnih območij, ki so za izbrane cilje gospodarjenja relativno pomembnejša kot gozdovi zunaj the območij. V prednostnih območjih drugih ciljev gospodarjenja ne izključujemo, ti so le manj pomembni in zato manjupoštevani pri odločitvah o prihodnjem gospodarjenju z gozdovi. V sedanji zasnovi večnamenske gagospodarjenja v Sloveniji uporabljamo predvsem dva tipa prednostnih območij: (1) območja s poudarjenimi funkcijami gozdov in (2) zavarovana območja gozdov.
