The general research model used is based on the findings of different foreign studies and on data collected in the studies of psychologists employed by the Slovenian Armed Forces. The results gave a quite typical picture of the situation, as already discovered by other researchers (the importance of good preparation, clear tasks, separation from families, etc). Since the participants in the research were not exposed to severe stress inducers, it is difficult to make conclusions about the moderator stress factors. In light of the fact that the researched personal characteristics show a link with psychological well being, we can assume that personal factors are important in coping with stress as well. The activity should be further monitored, the research conducted before the departure to, during and after the return from a misison and as many factors as possible influencing the lives of soldiers in PKOs should be discovered. The desire to "pathologise" participants of peace mission and impose stress therapies on them should be avoided. Although necessary in extreme cases, the majority of work should be done by natural support systems (e.g. family, unit, etc.), good preparations and appropriate care for the soldiers</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Udeležba vojakov v mirovnih operacijah, še posebej v državah, v katerih se je vojna pravkar končala, predstavlja stresno nalogo. V skrajnih primerih so sicer res nujne, vendar morajo večino dela opraviti naravni oporni sistemi (družina, enota ipd.), dobre priprave in ustrezna skrb za vojake</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-5V36N2JR"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:DOC-5V36N2JR" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-5V36N2JR/4c0120a1-f053-4e69-bcf5-c87adf8cc6d2/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Ministrstvo za obrambo RS</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-5V36N2JR/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-5V36N2JR" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
