Experimental magnetron cell consisted of an anode cylinder of the diameter of 27 mm and the length of 36 mm. Inside the anode cylinder a rectangular cathode stick was located. A stabel electronic discharge was established in the crossed electric and magnetic fields inside the magnetron cell. The molecules were analysed in inelastic collisions with electrons and excellerated toward the cathode. We measured the resulting ion current against the anode voltage at different pressures and at different magnetic fields. It was found that the ion current was strongly dependent on the anode voltage, the magnetic field density and the pressure. In any&lt; case, a well defined maximum was found on the I=I(U) curve, and it increased with the increasing magnetic field and pressure. The maximum ion current dependent approximately linearly on pressure in the range between ?$10^{-10}$? mbar and ?$10^{-8}$? mbar</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Predstavljamo električne karakteristike magnetronske celice v tlačnem območju med ?$10^{-10}$? mbar in ?$10^{-8}$? mbar, ki jo bomo uporabili kot sestavni del nove vakuumske črpalke. Eksperimentalna magnetronska celica je bila sestavljena iz valjaste anode premera 2,7 cm in dolžine 3,6 cm, v kateri se je nahajala ploščata elektrodna palica debeline 1 mm in širine 6 mm. V prečnem elektrilčnem in magnetnem polju v magnetronski celici se je vzpostavila stabilna razelektritev. Molekule plina so se ob neprožnih trkih z elektroni ionizirale in pospešile proti katodi. Merili smo tok ionov na katodo v odvisnosti od anodne napetosti pri različnih tlakih in različnih gostotah homogenega magnetnega polja, ki je bilo usmerjeno vzdolž celice. Ugotovili smo, da je ionski tok skozi celico močno odvisen od anodne napetosti, gostote magnetnega polja in tlaka. V vsakem primeru obstaja dobro definiran maksimum na krivulji I=I(U), ki narašča z naraščajočim magnetnim poljem in tlakom.
