They were developed as part of the research project My Languages, My Strength: Developing Linguistically Sensitive Teaching at All Levels of Education and are based on analyses of national strategic documents, curricula of teacher education programmes, research on linguistically sensitive teaching, and the findings of a national survey conducted among teachers. The introductory section is followed by chapters addressing the concept of linguistically sensitive teaching, its underlying principles, the role of the teacher, and pluralistic approaches. The subsequent sections provide didactic recommendations for preschool, primary, secondary, and university levels, together with a range of practical strategies for planning and implementing teaching. The publication also includes a glossary of key terms, a teacher self-reflection questionnaire, and examples of good practice, enabling the approaches presented to be directly applied in educational practice. The publication draws attention to the gap between the formal recognition of multilingualism in strategic documents and its actual implementation in educational practice, while offering concrete ways of systematically integrating linguistic diversity into the educational process.
