Researchers already demonstrated that the success of using frameworks increases with the amount of framework use respectively number of framework instantiations. So, the main objective of the thesis was to investigate factors, which impact the amount of framework use and consequently the success of framework use. We oriented the thesis to users' perceptions which have an impact on the adoption or rejection of frameworks. The objective of the first part of the thesis was to identify major factors, which impact users' decisions to use frameworks. Using the results of previously performed field research, we defined theoretical models, which were based on the most popular and well proved acceptance model - TAM (Technology Acceptance Model). We used a survey method to test the validity of the hypothesized theoretical models, where the results were statistically analyzed using structural equation modelling techniques. The results support hypothesized theoretical models, which extended TAM to the context of frameworks. The main findings are following. We found that the acceptance of frameworks is influenced by two groups of factors: framework characteristics and individual differences. The direct determinants of framework acceptance are confidence and perceived usefulness. This represents a slight deviation to the end user acceptance models. Our explanation to this deviation is that framework users are aware of the required long-term framework use which is reflected in the confidence factor. Several research limits should be considered when interpreting the results of the thesis, including research methods limits, statistical techniques limits, models limits and limits of samples used in the thesis. Based on the original scientific outcomes of the thesis, several practical applications for framework developers and users are presented and foreseen. First, we present a model, which is capable to predict the acceptance of frameworks based on acceptance determinants and linear regression. Second we present a method for framework acceptance improvement. The main idea behind the proposed method lies in an user-oriented, iterative and evolutionary process, which improves frameworks stepwise, on the level of their common constituent elements. The last applicative outcome of the thesis is a framework selection method. The method is designed for application developers which use public available frameworks. It evaluates framework alternatives from three viewpoints: framework quality, framework suitability and financial view"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Osrednji predmet disertacije so programska ogrodja, ki ob ustrezni uporabi spadajo med najbolj učinkovite tehnike ponovne uporabe programske opreme. Predhodne raziskave so ugotovile, da na uspešnost uporabe ogrodja bistveno vpiva obseg uporabe ogrodja oziroma število instanciranj ogrodja. Zato smo si za osnovni cilj disertacije zastavili preučitev dejavnikov, ki povečujejo obseg uporabe ogrodij in s tem njihovo uspešnost. Pri tem smo se osredotočili na uporabniški vidik dojemanj ogrodij, ki vpliva na sprejetje oziroma zavrnitev ogrodij. Raziskovalnega problema smo se lotili s terensko raziskavo,ki je identificirala faktorje, ki vplivajo na uporabnikove odločitve o izbiri ogrodja. Na osnovi rezultatov terenske raziskave smo definirali teoretične modele disertacije, ki smo jih zasnovali na najbolj splošnem in validiranem modelu sprejetosti informacijskih tehnologij - modelu TAM (Technology Acceptance Model). Veljavnost predpostavljanih teoretičnih modelov smo preizkusili z izvedbo ankete in z uporabo specialne statistične tehnike - modelov strukturnih enačb. Rezultate raziskav predstavljata izvirna modela sprejetosti in uspešnosti programskih ogrodij. Poglavitne ugotovitve, ki izhajajo iz analize teoretičnih modelov, so, da na sprejetost ogrodij vplivajo različne karakteristike ogrodij in posebnosti uporabnikov. V nasprotju z uporabniki končne programske opreme sta poglavitni determinanti sprejetosti ogrodij dojeta uporabnost ogrodja in zaupanje v ogrodje, kar sovpada z zahtevami po dolgoročni uporabi ogrodja. Pri interpretaciji rezultatov je vsekakor treba upoštevati omejitve metod raziskovanja, teoretičnih modelov, tehnik analize podatkov in vzorce, ki smo jih uporabljali v raziskavah disertacije. Rezultati raziskav disertacije so lahko osnova za številne izvirne rešitve, ki lahko pozitivno vplivajo na razvoj in uporabo ogrodij. V okviru disertacije smo predstavili model za ocenjevanje sprejetosti ogrodij, ki omogoča napovedovanje sprejetosti ogrodij z uporabo linearne regresije. Druga aplikativna rešitev disertacije je metoda za izboljševanje sprejetosti ogrodij, ki je namenjena razvijalcem ogrodij in omogoča iterativno izboljševanje ogrodij. Izboljšave ogrodja temeljijo na postopnih modifikacijah abstraktnih sestavnih delov ogrodja. Tretja aplikativna rešitev je namenjena uporabnikom javno dostopnih ogrodij in omogoča sistematično vrednotenje in izbiro najprimernejšega ogrodja na osnovi ocenitve kakovosti, primernosti in finančnega modela alternativ"}],"edm:type":"TEXT","dc:type":[{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"visokošolska dela"},{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"theses and dissertations"},{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q1266946"}]},"ore:Aggregation":{"@rdf:about":"http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:DOC-38QBY8KE","edm:aggregatedCHO":{"@rdf:resource":"URN:NBN:SI:DOC-38QBY8KE"},"edm:isShownBy":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-38QBY8KE/1366d-4aa4c-2570a40a-605-453b80bd059/PDF"},"edm:rights":{"@rdf:resource":"http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"},"edm:provider":"Slovenian National E-content Aggregator","edm:intermediateProvider":{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"National and University Library of Slovenia"},"edm:dataProvider":{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Univerza v Mariboru, Fakulteta za elektrotehniko računalništvo in informatiko"},"edm:object":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-38QBY8KE/maxi/edm"},"edm:isShownAt":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:DOC-38QBY8KE"}}}}
