But the glaring gender gap in the workforce in the companies and institutions located here is acting as a barrier to reaching the full potential of the region. This study identifies the reasons for and outcomes of the gender gap in manufacturing companies. We propose an instrument for reducing that gap which will help managers simply and efficiently assess their workplace in terms of its conduciveness for achieving gender parity</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V Neemrani, industrijskem mestu na meji med indijskima državama Harjana in Radžastan, so industrijske enote različnih indijskih in tujih podjetij, postopno pa sem prihaja še več novejših industrijskih panog, ki ustvarjajo nove zaposlitvene možnosti. Toda očitna vrzel med spoloma v delovni sili v podjetjih in institucijah na tem področju deluje kot ovira na poti k doseganju polnega potenciala regije. V pričujoči raziskavi ugotavljamo vzroke za spolno vrzel v podjetjih predelovalne industrije in njene posledice.
