It is defined by the process of features excretion of the Steady state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP) and further classification or symbol detection within the neurologic activity as a response to binocular coded visual stimulation. In the thesis the whole brain computer interface was defined. In the first stage a suitable device for binocular visual stimulation was defined and formed. This was followed by defining of binocular coded symbols on the basis of frequency and phase and the new set of features, which distinguish binocular coded symbol classes and with the suitable further classification successfully recognize individual symbols. A practical experiment proved that this approach enables increase of information transfer rate regarding interfaces, which use symbols only on frequency or phase basis and without binocular approach. We defined also a new user interface for the purpose of visual communication between a human and a machine in three-dimensional space as a new form of modality within multimodal communication interfaces"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Cilj doktorske disertacije je bila zasnova naprednega binokularnega nevrološkega vmesnika za komunikacijo med človekom in strojem na osnovi neinvazivne metode spremljanja nevroloških aktivnosti v zatilju glave, ki temelji na definiranju postopka izločanja značilk vizualno izzvanih potencialov ustaljenega stanja (SSVEP) in nadaljnje klasifikacije oziroma detekcije simbolov znotraj zajete nevrološke aktivnosti kot odziva na binokularno kodirano vizualno vzbujanje. V okviru doktorske naloge smo definirali celoten vmesnik možgani-računalnik, pri čemer smo v prvi fazi definirali in izdelali primerno napravo za binokularno vizualno vzbujanje. V nadaljevanju smo definirali binokularne kodirane simbole na frekvenčni in fazni osnovi ter nov nabor značilk, ki najbolje ločujejo binokularno kodirane simbolne razrede in z ustrezno nadaljnjo klasifikacijo uspešno prepoznavajo posamezne simbole. S praktičnim poizkusom smo dokazali, da je s takšnim pristopom možno povečati informacijsko prenosno hitrost glede na vmesnike, ki uporabljajo simbole samo na frekvenčni ali fazni osnovi in brez binokularnega pristopa.
