The central topic of the project was the production and use of energy wood from forests. Introduction is followed by the review of a comparative analysis of national and European Union policies related to forests. Afterwards, important forest-related stakeholders% opinions on energy wood production and use are presented. Inadequate political framework has been found to be the weakest link between production and use of energy wood.
