Maximum permeability and minimum coercitivity are required. The latter is especially important in the case of magnetic valves controlled by an ac electric current. In the case of steel with 17% Cr and 0.4% Mo we have studied laboratory heats which must have the content of Si and Mn in the correct range to obtain the lowest coercitivity. The best method of annealing was determined in order to obtain a steep magnetization curve. It was established that the sequence of machining and heat treatment is very important. Resistance against intergranular corrosion was proved</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Poleg kemijske odpornosti in mehanskih lastnosti so pri jeklih za zaporne elemente magnetnih ventilov najpomembnejše magnetne lastnosti. Zaželena je čim večja permeabilnost in majhna koercitivnost. Slednje še posebej velja za magnetne ventile, ki jih krmilimo z izmeničnim električnim tokom. Pri jeklu s 17% Cr in 0,4% Mo smo z laboratorijskimi talinami preizkušali, kakšna mora biti v okviru predpisane kemijske sestave vsebnost Si in Mn, da bo koercitivnost čim manjša. Določili smo optimalni režim žarjenja za doseganje strme magnetilne krivulje. Ugotovili smo, da je zelo pomemben vrstni red mehanske in toplotne obdelave.
