The model is connected to a monitoring system of the Allino furnace and simulates in real-time. The heat exchange between the furnace gas, the furnace wall and the billet surface is calculated using a three-temperature model. The exact treatment of the complex geometry of the furnace enclosure, including the billets, is important in radiation heat-exchange calculations. In the model the radiation heat exchange between surfaces in the furnace enclosure is determined using a view-factor matrix. The matrix is determined before the simulation by a general model for view-factor determination based on the Monte Carlo method. The furnace bottom temperature depends on the number of charged billets in the furnace. In the model furnace the bottom temperature is calculated on the basis of heat balance on the furnace bottom for an individual furnace length segment. The heat conduction in the billets is determined using the 3D finite-difference method. The model is validated using measurements of billet reheating in the Allino furnace. A graphical user interface (GUI) has been developed to assure user-friendly use of the simulation model"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V prispevku je predstavljen simulacijski model ogrevanja gredic v peči Allino v valjarni Metal Ravne. Simulacijski model deluje v realnem času in je vključen v nadzorni sistem peči Allino. Izmenjava toplote med dimnim plinom, steno peči in gredico je obravnavana z modelom treh temperatur. Obravnava toplotnega sevanja pri ogrevanju gredic zahteva natančno upoštevanje kompleksne geometrije, ki jo imajo stene peči, skupaj z založenimi gredicami. Izmenjava toplote med ploskvami v peči je zato v modelu obravnavana z uporabo matrike geometrijskih faktorjev vidnosti. Ta matrika je predhodno določena s splošnim modelom za izračun matrike geometrijskih faktorjev vidnosti z uporabo metode Monte Carlo. Temperatura poda peči je odvisna od trenutne založitve v peči. V modelu je za posamezni dolžinski segment določena z bilanco toplotnih tokov na podu peči. Prevajanje v gredicah je obravnavano z metodo končnih diferenc v treh prostorskih dimenzijah. Vrednotenje modela smo izvedli z meritvami ogrevanja preskusne gredice v peči Allino.
