Therefore the ways of dealing with mental health problems are different across genders. This article illustrates how Taiwanese women who experience mental health problems are trapped in an oppressive system constituted by gender inequalities, economic difficulties and mentalism. It also shows how migration and transnational marriage had a profound impact on care work for people with mental health problems and disabilities in Taiwan. By analyzing the situations from the perspective of anti-oppression practice and human rights, it is anticipated to draw implications for future actions with the aim of enhancing the well-being of Taiwanese womenNa Tajvanu, za katerega so značilne patriarhalne vrednote, na težave z duševnim zdravjem gledajo drugače kot na fizično bolezen.
