The basic characteristics of theeducation in the primary school, which influence the design of the electronic learning tools, are presented in the first part of the paper. V prvem delu prispevka predstavljamo značilnosti osnovnošolskega izobraževanja, ki vplivajo na to, da se oblikovanje elektronskega učnega orodja za osnovnošolce bistveno razlikuje od tistega na drugih ravneh izobraževanja. V drugem delu prispevka pa predstavljamo model elektronskega učnega orodja, ki je namenjen učenju predmeta Spoznavanje družbe v petem razredu osnovne šole. Opisani hipertekstualni pripomoček je mogoče uporabiti v procesu učenja na daljavo, kot tudi širše.
