This process solves the problem of reinforcing phase wettability and variations of the phase fractions are also enabled. A semisolid composite mixture, produced in the proposed way, contains two or more primary solid phases, which are in general thermodinamically incompatible or at least inequilibrial with respect to their compositions and fractions. Since these solid faces are the essential part of the composite, their dissolution has to be prevented. In our processing model this is possible in more different ways: -kinetically, -by chemical protection of solid primary phases and -by thermodynamical stabilisation of the semisolid composite. The choicea depends on the desired chemical composition and microstructure of the composite and on expected technologies in further processing of the composite"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Razvili smo model postopka izdelave kovinskih kompozitov s sintezo delno staljenih mešanic, ki združuje dobro omočljivost utrjevalne faze z dokaj širokimi možnostmi izbire njenega deleža v kompozitu. Po tem postopku izdelana kompozitna večfazna, delno staljena mešanica je sestavljena iz dveh ali več primarnih trdnih faz in taline. Faze v takšni mešanici so v splošnem termodinamsko nekompatibilne. Trdne faze so, preden se mešanica popolnoma strdi, nagnjene k hitremu raztapljanju. Ker so primarne trdne faze bistveni del mikrostrukture kompozita, je preprečevanje njihovega raztapljanja ključnega pomena za uspešno izdelavo kompozita. Model predvideva več načinov: -kinetično preprečevanje raztapljanja, -kemijsko zaščito nestabilnih trdnih faz in -termodidnamsko stabilizacijo kompozitne delno staljene mešanice.
