La Editorials Libraria, Trieste - i948 ALLIED MILITARY GOVERNMENT British - United States Zone-Free Territory of Trieste Order No. 173 DECLARATION OF PUBLIC UTILITY AND URGENT NECESSITY TO EXPROPRIATE A PORTION OF RIO PRIMARIO AT VALMAURA WHEREAS it is deemed an urgent necessity and public utility to expiopiiate certain lands in conjunction with the Communal slaughter-house project ; and WHEREAS the project pertaining to the slaughter-house at S. Sabba has been submitted by the Genio Civile, and the same has been approved by Allied Military Government ; NOW, THEREFORE, I, RIDGELY GAITHER, Brigadier General, V. S. Army, Director General, Civil Affairs, ORDER,: ARTICLE I DECLARATION OF PUBLIC UTILITY Section 1. — By the terms of this Order and pursuant to provisions of Article 71, Law No. 2359, dated 25 June 1885, the expropriation of certain grounds in the district of S. SaWba, required for the completion of the Communal slaughter-house project is hereby declared to be of urgent necessity and public utility. Section 2. ■— The said grounds are more specifically described by map, „Annex A“, referred to in Article II herein, and covers a tract of land along Rio Primario as shown on the said map, in accordance with the proposal submitted and approved by Allied Milita*y Government. ' * • <• Section 3. — The expropriation of tne grounds described by map, „Annex A“ fhrll be for the purpose of covering that part of the stream Rio Primario which is contemplated for the improvement of the drainage from the slaughter-house. Section 4. -— The declaration aforementioned shall be given and have all the effect of laws in force on 8 September 1943: ARTICLE II t EFFECT AND DEPOSIT OF THE ANNEXED MAP Map „Annex A“ mentioned in the foregoing Article shall bo and is hereby made a part of this Order. It is deposited in the Public Works Office of Allied Military Government, Triesÿi and in the Office of the Commune of Trieste and may be freely examined by all persons concerned. ARTICLE III EFFECTIVE DATE This Order shall become effective on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Dated at TRIESTE- this 31st day of March 1948. Army Director General, Civil Affairs Order No. 222 TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF INSCRIPTIONS IN THE REGISTER OF THE PERMANENT POPULATION WHEREAS it is considered necessary to modify and amend, the provisions of Order No. 64 dated 19 December 1947 concerning temporary suspension of inscription in the register of the permanent population in the Communes within that part of the Free Territory of Trieste administered by the British-United Statés Forces (hereinafter referred to as the „Zone“) ; NOW, THEREFORE, I, RIDGELY GAITHER, Brigadier General U. S. Army, Director General, Civil Affairs, ORDER: ARTICLE I Article II of-Order No. 64 dated 19 December 1947 is cancelled and substituted by the following new Article II. „ARTICLE II „The provisions set forth in Article I of this Order shall not apply to (a) Minor children of persons regularly inscribed in the Register ; (b) Wives whose husband are regularly inscribed in the Register; (c) Widows and legally separated wives provided that their father or mother was inscribed in one of the Registers of the Zone on 10th June 1940 ; (d) Orphans whose legally appointed guardians are regularly inscribed in the Register ; (e) Italian citizens domiciled on 10th June 1940 within the Zone, and (f) Italian citizens born in the Zone and previously inscribed in the Register.“ ARTICLE II EFFECTIVE DATE This Order shall come into effect on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. S7 Army Director General, Civil Affairs Administrative Order No. 74 AUTHORITY GRANTED TO „ SUCRE AUSILIATRICI DELLE ANIME DEL PURGATORIO’1 OF TRIESTE TO ACCEPT A LEGACY WHEREAS the „Suore Ausiliatrici delle Anime del Purgatorio“ of Trieste have made an application to the Allied Military Government for authority to accept a legacy left to them by Countess Anna Segre’ Sartorio in her will dated April 1st, 1944, opened, and published on April 9th, 1946, according to Notary dr. Silvio Quarantolto’s deed., Rep. No. 5863, in Trieste ; and WHEREAS the above application has been duly approved by the Area President of Trieste ; and there is no objection thereto , NOW. THEREFORE, I, RIDGELY GAITHER, Brigadier General U. S. Army Director General,»Civil Affairs Administrative Order No. 66 APPOINTMENT OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF THE ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY OF TRIESTE WHEREAS, it is considered advisable and necessary to appoint an Administrative Board of the Astronomical Obse-vatory of Trieste, pursuant to the Law 8 August 1942, No. 1145, NOW, THEREFORE, I, RIDGELY GAITHER, Brigadier General, U. S. Army, Director General, Civil Affairs, ORDER: ARTICLE I Pursuant to the Law 8 August 1942, Nc. 1145, the Administrative Board of the Astronomical Observatory of Trieste shall and it is hereby constituted as follows : President: Prof. Ettore L. Army Director General, Civil Affairs Notice No. 9 TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS BY SELF-PROPELLED VEHICLES Law No. 1349 dated 20 June 1§35 The attention of all owners, hirers and drivers of self-propelled vehicles used for transportation of goods and of all others interested is drawn to the Law No. 1349 of 20 June 1935 as amended, providing for the control of transportation of goods by self-propelled vehicles. . This Law is still in force and it is the intention of Allied Military Government to apply the law rigidly. All interested are responsible for making themselves acquaint with the provisions of law and carrying out the duties required of them. To give all those interested an opportunity to conform to existing law, they will be permitted to lodge applications for licences under this law with the Ispettorato Motorizzazione Civile e Trasporti in Concessione at Trieste not later than 30th April 1948. As from 31st May 1948 all licences or other authorizations issued by Allied Military Government not in conformity with said law No. 1349 will have no value ana will lapse.. Thereafter no person shall be permitted to transport, haul or carry goods by self-propel’ed vehicles unless in possession of the proper authority to do so.. Failure to comply with the said provision and to be in possession of the proper documents will render persons liable to all the penalties provided by law.
