Aleš Bučar Ručman is associate professor of sociology at Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security, University of Maribor. He finished his PhD at Faculty of Arts, Univeristy of Ljubljana, department of sociology. His research deals with sociology of deviance. He focuses on various forms of crimes, its definiti- ons and emphasises the analysis of migration and crime and research of various forms of (structural and direct) violence.
