ALLIED MILITARY GOVERNMENT British - United States Zone-Free Territory of Trieste Order No. 109 TEMPORARY MODIFICATION CONCERNING THE MOVEMENT OF TOURIST TRAFFIC INTO AND OUT OF THE BRITISH UNITED STATES ZONE OF THE FREE TERRITORY OF TRIESTE WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to provide for a temporary modification concerning the movement of tourist traffic into and out of the British-United States Zone of the Free Territory of Trieste (hereinafter referred to as the „Zone“), NOW, THEREFORE, I, SIR JOHN WINTERTON, KCMG, OB, OBE, Major General, Zone Commander, ORDER: ARTICLE I With effect from 8 August 1953 through 30 October 1953 the movement of tourist traffic only, by any means, into and out of the Zone through block post No. 13 (Prebenico), mentioned in the Table annexed to Order No. 179 dated 12 November 1951, is permitted on Saturday from 1300 to 2400 hours and on Sunday from 0800 to 2400 hours. WINTERTON Major General Zone Commander Order No, 110 RECOGNITION OF 10 LIRE AND 5 LIRE „ITALMA“ METAL COINS AS LEGAL TENDER WHEREAS it is considered advisable to recognize the 10 Lire and 5 Lire „Italma“ metal coins as legal tender, in that part of the Free Territory of Trieste administered by the British- United States Forces (hereinafter referred to as the „Zone“) ; NOW, THEREFORE, I, BERNICE M. McFADYEN, Major General, Acting Zone Commander, Dated at TRIESTE, this 8th day of August 1953. Ref. : LD/AI53/125 ORDER: ARTICLE I The 10 Lire and 5 Lire „Italma“ metal coins, the manufacture and issue of which in the Italian Republic have been authorized by the Law 24 December 1951, No. 1405, shall be legal tender in the Zone with effect from 15 July 1953. ARTICLE II The „Italma“ alloy metal coins of 10 Lire and 5 Lire denominations, the manufacture and issue of which were authorized in the Italian Republic by D. L. L. 8 May 1946, No. 419, shall cease to be legal tender in the Zone on 31 December 1953 and may be exchanged by the „Sezione di Tesoreria“ until 31 March 1954. ” • ARTICLE III This Order shall become effective on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette and shall be operative as from 1,5 July 1953. McFADYEN Major General Ref. : LD/A/53/117 Acting Zone Commander Administrative Order No. 54 AUTHORITY TO CHANGE THE SURNAME WHEREAS Carlo BRAD AC of the late Giuseppe and of Carla Frank, born at Trieste on 4 February 1908 and residing at Trieste, Via Molin a Vento No. 74, has complied with the Law formalities required to obtain the change of his surname into that of „BRADAS“, according to the authority granted to him by the Director of Legal Affairs on 10 February 1953, WHEREAS said person has now made application in order that the requested change of surname be effected, WHEREAS the provisions of Title VIII, Chapter I of R,D. 1238 of July 9, 1939 on the Rules and Regulations of the Civil Status have been complied with and no objections have been raised, NOW, THEREFORE, I, SIR JOHN WINTERTON, KCMG, CB, CBE, Major General, Zone Commander, ORDER: 1. The surname of the interested person BRAD AC Carlo is hereby changed into that of „BRADAS“. 2.
