10 let po izidu prve Ten years after številke revije Acta the release of the medico-biotechnica first issue of Acta

Spoštovani bralci,
skoraj smo jo spregledali, 10. obletnico izida prve številke. Tako smo se že navadili na njeno polletno izhajanje, da smo enostavno pozabili na štetje. A dejstvo je, da je 3. 12. 2008 izšla prva številka revije Acta medico-biotechnica. Počasi smo jo vzeli za svojo, postala je del nas. Večina vas jo imenuje kar Acta. Ne razmišljamo več, ali bo naslednja številka izšla ali ne. Vmes so bila leta, ki smo jih težje preživeli, bili so dvomi v njen obstoj, a smo vztrajali in uspelo nam je, da lahko danes na torti prižgemo 10 svečk. Seveda jih bomo ob tem jubileju tudi upihnili in pri tem zaželeli reviji še mnogo nadaljnjih uspešnih let. V vseh 10 letih je revija izhajala redno. Medicinska fakulteta Univerze v Mariboru je kot izdajatelj nanjo resnično lahko ponosna. Je edina uradna znanstvenoraziskovalna strokovna revija s področja medicine in biotehnike, ki jo izdaja Medicinska fakulteta, v naši državi. Da je doživela 10 let, je bilo potrebnega veliko napora vseh, ki smo pri tem sodelovali. Veliko vlogo imate vsi, ki ste nam v vseh teh letih pošiljali kvalitetne prispevke in z njimi pomagali k soobliko-vanju revije; zato se vam ob tej priložnosti iskreno zahvaljujem. Prav tako so neprecenljivo delo opravili recenzenti, brez katerih bi bila vrednotenje in izbor prispevkov nemogoča. Tudi njim iskrena hvala. Po 10 letih z mirno vestjo zaključimo, da smo uspeli, da je revija še vedno tukaj, da je vedno bolj naša in da si brez nje naše fakultete skoraj ne moremo predstavljati. Revija ima pomembno mesto tudi v postopkih habilitacije naših univerzitetnih učiteljev. V teh letih nam sicer še ni uspelo, da bi se uvrstili na seznam revij z impakt faktorjem, a vse aktivnosti v zadnjih letih potekajo v tej smeri. Upam in si resnično želim, da bi nam to v naslednjih letih uspelo. Toda pri tem moramo sodelovati vsi in po svojih močeh prispevati k prepoznavnosti naše revije v svetu. Pot,

We almost overlooked this date - the 10th anniversary of the publication of the first issue. We are so used to its half-yearly publication that we simply forgot to count. But the fact is that on December 03, 2008 the first issue of Acta medico-biotechnica was published. Slowly we have taken it as our own, it has become a part of us. The majority of you are naming it just Acta. We have stopped thinking about whether the next issue number will be released or not. In between there were years that we survived with more difficulty, there were even doubts about it continuing, but we have endured and succeeded so that we can now light 10 candles on the cake. Of course, we will, upon this jubilee, also blow them out and at that express wishes to the journal for many further successful years.
Throughout the past 10 years, the journal has been published regularly. The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Maribor as the publisher can truly be proud of it. It is the only official professional scientific-research journal in the field of medicine and bioengineering which is issued by a medical faculty in our country. The fact that it has continued for 10 years reflects the great efforts by all of us who cooperated in this. All of you, who, over all these years, have been sending us good quality contributions and through them have assisted in co-shaping the journal, have played a great role, and for this reason I would like to sincerely thank you upon this occasion. Just as much priceless work has been done by reviewers, without whom the evaluation and selection of contributions would have been impossible, and to them also I would like to express my sincere gratitude. After 10 years we can, with a calm conscience, conclude that we have succeeded, that the journal is still here, that it is more and more ours and that we can hardly imagine

ki vodi do uspeha je samo ena: kvalitetni članki in njihova citiranost v mednarodno priznanih revijah. V 10 letih smo objavili 142 člankov, od tega 86 izvirnih in 29 preglednih znanstvenih člankov ter 27 strokovnih člankov. Že od leta 2010 je revija delno sofinancirana s strani Javne agencije za knjigo RS. Znanstveni svet za medicinske vede pri ARRS je revijo leta 2011 vključil v seznam revij, ki se upoštevajo pri kategorizaciji znanstvenih publikacij. V letu 2012 je uredništvo revije prejelo priznanje »Prome-tej znanosti za odličnost v komuniciranju« Slovenske znanstvene fundacije za učinkovito, prepričljivo in zanimivo komunikacijo v znanosti, na kar smo v uredništvu zelo ponosni.
Uredništvo revije je odgovorno bralcem, ti so naši sodniki. In naši bralci so revijo ocenili kot dobro in kvalitetno. Pot kvalitete in ne kvantitete moramo nadaljevati in jo ohranjati v najvišji meri. Samo na ta način bomo dosegli zastavljeni cilj in hkrati prispevali k promociji ne samo fakultete, ampak tudi naše univerze.

our faculty without it any more. The journal also has an important place in the habilitation procedure of our university teachers. Although, so far, we have not yet succeeded in being placed on the list of journals with an impact factor, all activities in recent years are progressing in this direction. I hope and truly wish that in the coming years we shall succeed in this. In working towards this aim, all of us need to cooperate and, as much as we can, contribute to the recognisability of our journal in the world. There is only one path which leads to success: quality articles and their being cited in internationally acknowledged journals.
In our 10 years we have published 142 articles, comprising 80 original scientific papers, 29 review articles and 33 professional articles. Already since the year 2010 the journal has been partly financed by the Slovenian Book Agency. The Scientific Council for Medical Sciences of the Slovenian Research Agency has in 2011 included the journal in the list of journals which are taken into account in the categorization of scientific publications. In 2012 the editorial board of the journal received the acknowledgement Prometheus of Science for Excellence in Communication by the Slovenian Science Foundation for efficient, convincing and interesting communication in science of which we in the editorial board are very proud.
The editorial board of the journal is accountable to our readers, they are our judges. And our readers have evaluated the journal as good and qualitative. The path of quality and not quantity has to be continued and maintained as much as possible. Only in this way will we achieve the set goal and simultaneously contribute to the promotion of not only our faculty, but also of our university.
