Most often they originate from the minor salivary glands situated in the palate mucous membrane. Authors present a case of recurrence of the malignant mixed tumor on the border between hard and soft palate 16 years after the first treatment - enucleation with postoperative radiotherapy. They discuss reasons for recurrence and also some other aspects of surgical treatment.
