Zopet je prišel čas, da primem za pero, saj je minilo ze p ecej časa od kar sem napisal zadnje poročilo o dogajanjih v naTem društvu. Seveda, prej ko nadaljujem vas v .menu upravnega odbora vse lepo pozdravljam in, da ne bom predolg, bom takoj šel na poročila in dogajanja.
Praznovanju Miklavževanja v klubskih prostorih 6 decembra se je pridružilo okoli 250 ljudi. Vsi smo bih presenečeni nad tako številnim obiskom in seveda za uspeh tega dne se moram zahvalit našim malčkom, za njihov.nastop in učiteljicama za njihov trud. Ravno tako so pohvale m zahvale vredni naši upokojenci, k, so program popesbihz nHhovim nastopom, pevski zbor Planika z pevovodjem Rolandom Carmody-^n in naj ne pozab,m na novo ustanovljen ansambel "Plave noči", kateri so nas zabaval, nožno v noč in končno, hvala vam vsem za obisK P Kot po navadi smo 26. decembra praznoval, "Štefanovo -tudi ta dan je bil obisk številen. Prostor v dvoran, kot zunaj na pokritem balkonu je bil zavzet saj nam ,e b, lo.vreme naklonjeno. Tudi žlahtna kapljica se je lepo prilegla ob lepem sončnem dnevu. Naša mladina je za obe priložnost, posk bela za okusen BBQ in so se izkazali, kot prav, mojstn P Končno nas je ujelo staro leto, od katerega smo seskupno poslovili na silvestrov večer. Ob prihodu novega leta smo s drug drugemu segli v roke z najboljšim, željam, za se bo^ uspešno prihodnost. Zahvala za uspešno praznovanje gre ansamblu "Karantanija", kateri so poskrbeli za odi,eno glasbo fn nas zabavali do zgodnje jutranje ure. Naš ku —^ Andrej Fistrič (ml), je med premorom P^^äem šaljive točke, katerim smo se do solz nasmejah Hvala ponosni smo nate! No in tako smo prestop, v Novo leto 1993 če pa je kdo silvestrovanje zamud,I mu je lahko zal, toda ne obupajte, saj se nam lahko pridružite letos!
Sredf počrtnic, 15. januarja, pa smo že zopet praznoval, slovenski piknik in tako proslavili prvo obletnico naro.dnega priznanja Slovenije, kot samostojne države. Čeprav ob.sk n. b tako velik, kot na dan pr,znanja, tisti, ki so bil, pnsrtnu so bili lepo sprejeti ter skupno pokazali, da smo ponosni na naso svobodno Slovenijo! Hvala ansamblu "Piave noe," kater, so
nam priskočili na pomoč in brezplačno zabavali prisotne.
Push zabava je bila 27. februarja , takoj naslednji dan smo se napotili na skupni piknik pr, Hanging Rock-u kj smo se z ostalimi slovenskimi drustv, Viktor,je zbrali c podpremo brezplačno delo radijskih delavcev k, pripravi* enourne slovenske oddaje ob sredah med 7. in 8. uro zvece
V mesecu marcu pa smo priredili izvenredno zabav Latinsko-ameriški ples, katerega se je udelez.lo skoraj 2< Ldi Ta večer je bil največ namenjen našemu no ustanovljenemu nogometnemu društvu, ki potrebuje na podporo Obljubili so nam, da bodo v kratkem poskus zmagati vsaj L tekmo, mi pa jim želimo veliko uspeh* Naši najmlajši člani, "SDM Youth group o >8 m* organizirali "Car Rally", o njihov,h uspehih ste ahko s , ceLTa radiu. It seems like last week when the Christmas Vestnik was sent and now Easter has just gone by! Hopefully you didn't eat as many Easter Eggs as some (?) - if you now suffer from migraines and excess kilos you know where they came from! On a serious note, we do hope you had a Happy and Holy Easter.
Speaking of happy times, this time we do have a few announcements - a couple of which should have been in the last Vestnik, but we didn't know about them.
♦	Let's start with the babies. Sylvia (Udovičič) and Michael are the proud parents of Dean. Sylvia is the daughter of Maria & Tiljo Udovičič and you will be pleased to know that Dean has got the most beautiful head of thick brown hair, just like his grandmother (sorry Tiljo!). Veronica (Bole) and Nick Gregorič also had a baby boy who they have named Daniel. Veronica is the daughter of Nada & Jože Bole. Congratulations to both couples and to anyone else who has had a baby.
♦	I think I speak for quite a few parents who are watching their "babies" growing up and turning into adults. Recently, 3 of these once "babies" turned 21. Veronica, daughter of Anica & Renato Smrdel; Igor, son of Anka & Lojz Brgoč and Christine, the daughter of Teresa & Valter Prosenak. Everyone joins in wishing you all the best for the future and a happy and healthy adult life.
♦	A very big congratulations to to Lydia Markič and Brendan (Kovač) Smith who recently announced their engagement.
♦	Back to the "baby factor", our new Playgroup is doing very well - it is on every Monday morning (except for school and public holidays), and as you can see from the photo, quite a few young mums and children come up. The Playgroup has already formed a sub-committee and is now registered with the Victorian Playgroup Association. I went into the old "Youth Shed" recently and was surprised by what they have done. There are paintings, murals, toys, play mats (donated by Motorcraft), little chairs and tables. A new kitchen sink/cupboard is being installed next week (donated by Kal Cabinets) so the children can wash their hands and the mums can make coffee. (As the budget is still as little as the children, any toys or books you may have at home that your 21 year olds have grown out of would be most welcome.)
The children enjoy themselves in the new and safe playground as well as participating in many activities organised by the mums - painting, play-dough, drawing, building blocks and much more - not only entertaining but also teaches co-ordination for their little hands.
Several "theme days" have been organised for May and June: 10th May is "Autumn Day" (bring your own Autumn leaves); 7th June is "Red Day" (everyone to come dressed in red and participate in red activities); 28th June will be "Musical Day" where the children will make their own instruments and dance)!
It's only $13.50 per term (includes coffee/tea for the mums). Each child is asked to bring a piece of fruit. The next term is from 26th April to 28 June (except 14th June). For more information, contact Irene McBean (Lončar) on 438.3841.
Slovenian School is on every 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. The children are using the book "Let's Learn Slovenian", which is available at SDM. It has also been purchased by a few adults who either want to learn Slovenian or would like to improve their knowledge of it. (cont'd p.4)
Predšolski vrtec pri SDM
S pričetkom redne šole koncem Februarja se je pri društvu pričel tudi predšolski vrtec ali "Playgroup". Vsak ponedeljek zjutraj od 10h do 12h (čas je fleksibilen) razen šolskih počitnic in praznikov, se pripelje na društvo kar lepo število mladih mamic s sojimi predšolskimi otroci- nekateri so še dojenčki, torej ni določene starosti.
V mladinski koči, katero so lepo opremile, se enkrat na teden zbere okoli ducat mamic, še več njihovih otrok (včasih več, drugič manj) število zavisi od zdravja otrok ali drugih obveznosti.
Delovanje tega vrtca je v polni pari, dekleta so si že organizirale odbor in s tem so bile izdane že tudi prve novice. Pa poglejmo kaj se dogaja:
Vrtec je registriran pri "Victorian Playgroup Association" Igrač ima vrtec kar lepo število, sicer pa z veseljem sprejme igrače, katere so morda vaši otroci že prerasti i, vse od otroških knjig, mizic in stolčkov, do vozičkov in vsega, kar bi bilo primerno za predšolske otroke.
Otroci imajo veliko, lepo in varno igrišče, ter prijetno okolje. Na razpolago so vse vrste aktivnosti od barvanja, modeliranje z barvnim testom, risanje na tablo, sestavljanje kock in ugank.
Za 9 tedenski termin je članarina samo $13.50, v kar je vključena kava ali čaj, za malčka pa s seboj prinesite kos sadja.
Naslednji začetni datum je 26. april in traja do 28. junija, z izjemo praznika, ki je 14. junija.
Dekleta imajo za prihodnjost na seznamu naslednje aktivnosti: 10. maja - jesenski dan (prinesite jesensko listje); 7. junija - Rudeč dan (otroci in mamice pridejo oblečeni v rudeča oblačila in delajo rudeče aktivnosti); 28. junij -Glasbeni dan (otroci naredijo svoje instrumente in plešejo)

Upokojenka, Kati Hartner je pred kratkim praznovala svoj 80. rojstni dan. Ga. Kati, vsi vam izrekamo najlepše čestitke za tako visok jubilej in vam kličemo še na mnoga zdrava leta!
Istočasno iskrene čestitke naši knjižničarki, Mileni Brgoč, ki je pred kratkim praznovala svoj 50. rojstni dan.
Zvedeli smo tudi, da se nekaj naših članov ni počutilo najbolje. Ga. Štefi Krizmančič in g. Lojze Penca sta morala celo v bolnišnico, dočim je ga. Mici Hartman dobila manjše poškodbe, ko je padla. Vsem želimo čimprejše okrevanje in veliko več zdravja v bodoče.
V kratkem bo na dopust v Slovenijo odpotovala odbornica Milica Hajek. Želimo ji lepo počutje. Za čas njene odstotnosti pa bo njeno delo z upokojenci prevzela Mici Hartman.

Our youth recently organised a Car Rally and a full report and photos will be in the next Vestnik. They were also in "charge" of the "kitchen" on our Latin American Night. (Full report on page 7). Ole!
The Masquerade Dance was a bit of a disappointment but those who did make the effort to dress up and come had a great time. The pancakes and their big range of toppings were absolutely delicious. (See report on page 6.)
The Snooker and Soccer Groups are very active: (See Boris and Victor's reports on the Sports page (11). The Hunters and Bowlers are busy hunting and bowling and haven't got time to write reports - but rest assured, they are alive and well (target shooting on Thursday nights and bowling on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons).
Every Wednesday night those little numbers keep flashing up on the board, but unfortunately our beloved callers can't keep everyone happy - we all keep telling them to shuffle the numbers. On a serious note, however, they do a great job and eventually do get the right numbers for some - and we do have a great night whether we win or not. Bingo!!
On Monday evenings and Tuesdays during the day Stephanie Spink (Physiotherapist) runs a class on "Feldenkrais". (See report on page 10.) If you would like to join in, ring Stephanie on 439.7411.
At the end of June or beginning of July we will be having another, yes, wait for it, "Trivia Night"!! This was a very popular night last year and the Dining area was packed out by teams trying to outsmart each other - and there is no age limit! Keep your ears open for the date!
The annual Art and Craft Festival has been changed to the weekend of 19/20 June (see notice enclosed).
Don't forget our Annual Ball which will be held on the 17th July - after 3 years, we will be having another traditional Miss Slovenia.
As you can see, life at SDM is fairly busy and there is something happening almost every day of the week as well as most weekends - and what is very important is that the youngest generations are so actively involved. We are very proud of them and it would be great to see more "oldies" supporting and helping the younger ones. They need encouragement and we have to all continue to work together - we need them and they need us.

OBVESTILO
O roku za vlaganje zahtevkov za denacionalizacijo
Veleposlaništvo republike Slovenije sporoča da bo dne 7.6.93 potekel rok za vlaganje zahtevkov za denacionalizacijo premoženja, podržavljenega po predpisih oziroma načinih iz 3., 4., in 5. člena Zakona o denacionalizaciji. Zakon o denacionalizaciji je začel veljati dne 7.12.91. Po 1. odst. 64. člena tega Zakona se mora zahtevek za denacionalizacijo vložiti najkasneje v osemnajstih mesecih po uveljavitvi zakona. Če se zahtevki vlagajo po pošti, je smotrno, da se jih pošlje priporočeno. Zahtevki se pošljejo direktno pristojnim občinam. Pri tem ni nujno da je vloga na dan vložitve popolna (da vsebuje vse listine in podatke, ki so potrebni za odločanje). Pristojni občinski organ postavi rok za dopolnitev vloge kakor tudi za postavitev pooblaščenca v Sloveniji. Zakon (3. odst. 60. člena) namreč zahteva, da mora imeti vlagatelj zahtevka za denacionalizacijo, ki nima stalnega bivališča v Sloveniji, pooblaščenca s stalnim bivališčem v Sloveniji, ki ga bo zastopal pri vseh dejanjih postopka. Pri tem ni nujno potrebno, da bi bila ta oseba odvetnik. Ta pooblaščenec mora potem v roku, ki ga postavi občinski organ, predložiti vse manjkajoče dokumente.

Veleposlaništvo RS želi nadalje sporočiti, da od sedaj naprej opravlja vse konzularne zadeve za področje celotne Avstralije. Točen datum in kraj bo Veleposlaništvo javilo slovenskim društvom, verskim središčem in sredstvom informiranja.
Ob tej priložnosti, bi se Veleposlaništvo rado zahvalilo g. Alfredu Brezniku, častnemu konzulu RS v Sydneyu za njegovo izjemno pomoč pri reševanju konzularnih zadev. G. Brežnik bo v skladu z Odlokom Vlade RS svoje aktivnosti kot slovenski častni konzul preusmeril na področje gospodarskega sodelovanje med državama. Koledniki pri SDM ...
Lep topel dan je 13. marca 1993 pozdravil prihod na S.D.M. člane Kamniških Kolednikov ( Tomaža Plahutnika igralca na citre, Janeza Majcenoviča, pevca in Roka Lapa, pevca) ter urednika Rodne Grude, Jožeta Prešerna, Tajnika Janeza Roglja in dramskega igralca, Toneta Gogolo.
V prisotnosti članov, kateri so si na ta sobotni popoldan vzeli čas, so se fantje okrepčali in v družbi pokramljali. Viktor je na široko razširil svojo harmoniko, na kar se je pričelo petje (in ples). V jedilnici je kasneje Tomaž

Visoki jubilej (80 let)...je praznovala Kati
Hartner, nekdanja dolgoletna voditeljica upokojenskega krožka SDM. Praznovanje je bilo pri sinu, ki živi z družino v Woodend. Za prevoz, kdor ni imel svojega, je poskrbe krožek SDM. G. Maks Hartman se je ponosno držal kot "šofer" v "mini bus" ko je vozil zimsko cvetje na skrivnostno proslavo v Woodend. Kati ni vedela za to skrivnost.
Prva postaja je bila v Woodend-u sredi gozda na zemljišču sedanje voditeljice krožka upokojencev SDM, Milice Hajek, katera sta z možem Ivanom spremenila goščavo visokega drevja v pravi raj. Hiša stoji v bregu, v kateri so nas postregli z toplimi palačinkami, čajem in kavo. Miza je bila polna raznih slaščic. Vreme je bilo lepo, sonce je s toplimi žarki
božalo vso naravo.	. ...
Opoldne smo se odpeljali h Katicinemu sinu, ki si je zgradil
sredi gozda lep dom. Z ženo sta očistila velik kos zemlje,
nasadila razno drevje, grmičje, uredila vrt za zelenjavo,
gredice za razne cvetlice. Na sredi te lepote stoj. h,sa, tudi
voda se steka v čisto malo jezerce. Po stan slovenski
navadi tudi dobro urejen kurnik, kjer kokodakajo in nesejo jajčka različne kokoši. Ob strani ograjenih kokosi je drvarnica
polna lepo složenih polen.	.
V tej lepi naravi smo skrili vozila za visoke sode nabiralne vode V lepo urejenem prostoru smo tiho čakali Kati, ki jo je na lašč vnukinja peljala v druge kraje. Ob določeni uri je sla snaha okopavati okoli cvetlic, ko se pripelje Kati se lepo pozdravita, snaha jo povabi v hišo, vrata so se odprla in Kati je vsa presenečena zagledala pred sabo veliko prijateljev pri mizah polnih samih dobrot. Zadonela je pesem Happy
Birthday Kati!!!"	_
Presenečenje se je spremenilo v veselje in petje. Res smo lepo praznovali visoki jubilej naše drage nepozabne Kati Prisrčna hvala sinu, snahi ter vsem ki ste pomagali slovesnosti nepozabnega dne. Ta dogodek je dokaz spoštovanja ostarelih lepše rečeno spoštovanja zimskega cvetja V imenu vseh upokojencev se prisrčno zahvalim družini Hartner, ter vsem prijateljem za izvenredno dobro postrežbo. Odziv na ta ples res ni bil hvale vreden, vendar ves trud, ki so ga mnogi vložili v pripravo pustne zabave 27. februarja, res ni bil predvsem zaman. Dvorana je bila res lepo pustno okrašena, z lepimi velikimi, ročno pobarvanimi plakati burkežev, ki so se hudomušno smejali na peščico tistih, ki so se okorajžili in se pustno našemili in seveda na vse tiste, ki tega nismo storili.
Zunaj na BBQ so se pekle palačinke na zelo nov, a zelo uspešen in hiter način. Špilarjev Zvono je naredil aluminijaste obroče v katere sta žena Marija in Joža Sušelj vlili palačinkino maso in v nekaj minutah smo jih že imeli na mizi z raznovrstno marmelado in smetano. Pri peki je pomagal tudi Stanko Sušelj in povedati vam moram, da se mi še zdaj sline cedijo, tako so bile dobre. Naj se ob tej priliki zahvalimo podjetju "Kosovo Poultry", kateri so za to priložnost podarili sveža jajca za palačinke. Kaj ko bi en večer organizirali samo večer palačink?
Za vse tiste, ki nam je všeč dobra glasba in ples, je poskrbel ansambel "Plave Noči", pa še po plesišču smo se lahko vrteli, brez da bi komu stopili na prste, kar se rado zgodi pri nabito polni dvorani. Torej ima malo manj napolnjena dvorana le kako prednost!

"LATIN AMERICAN NIGHT
On Saturday, 20th March, SDM had its first Latin American Night, and what a night it was. The band Tropical Dreams
played beyond our wildest dreams - they were fantastic - a little loud maybe, but played great music and created a wonderful atmosphere - young and old on the dance floor.
Even the kitchen and bar staff cha-chaad and rumbaad while they worked.
Both the young and older "youth" worked in the kitchen on this night. The younger ones were the main cooks while the older ones "helped". All-in-all, with so many hands in the ingredients, the "nachos" and "chilli-con-carne" (both mild and very, very, very hot) turned out really delicious.
Instead of a normal raffle, the Committee decided to have a "Dutch Auction" and the proceeds put towards the expenses in getting our new Soccer Team on the ground. Andrew Fistrič (Jnr) auctioned a soccer ball which was autographed by the members of our team. (There is a rumour going around that the ball will be worth a lot of money in a few years when the team plays in the World Cup!!!)
A special thanks to Frank Jelovčan who made a beautiful stand for the ball and to Victor Lampe who engraved it. The auction was extremely successful and the final bidder was "el Presidente", Karlos Beve, who paid "muchos pesos" and has left it at SDM for sentimental reasons.
Before the evening was over, people were coming up to me and asking when we will organise another dance like this one. Hopefully, this will become an annual event and possibly the beginning of different theme-dances for SDM.
On behalf of the Committee, a special thank you to everyone who helped organise the night and to those who helped set up the hall and worked on the night.

wishes to announce that it is offering a Scholarship known as
The Slovenian Scholastic Fund of Victoria
Scholarship worth $1,000.00 per year, tenable for three years
1.	The Scholarship is available to any student of a Victorian State Secondary School, who completes his/her V.C.E. in 1993 and who intends to undertake Tertiary or Post Graduate Studies in 1994.
2.	Applicants must be of proven Slovenian descent. Passport and other relevant immigration documentation or Certificate of Citizenship.
3.	Applicants will be interviewed by the Panel appointed by the Council and the Panel will determine the awardee of the Scholarship. The Panel's decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The following criteria will apply to the Panel's determination, viz:
4.	V.C.E. results: a certified copy of which must be delivered to the undermentioned address before the interview.
4.1	The Applicant's present involvement (if any) in any aspect of Slovenian folk culture.
4.2	The applicant's willingness and ability to be involved in any aspect of Slovenian folk culture during the continuance of the Scholarship.
4.3	The financial circumstances of the applicant and the applicant's immediate family.
4.4	Such other matters as the panel may decide.
4.5	Continuation of the Scholarship in each subsequent year of its three year term will be determined by the Panel yearly and dependent upon:
5.	The Awardee's satisfactory academic achievements in the previous year.
5.1 The Awardee continuing the chosen course of study.
6.	Payments under the Scholarship will be made in three instalments per year, by the Council to the Awardee.
7.	The Council reserves the right to:
7.1	Alter the terms and conditions of the Scholarship.
7.2	On the recommendation of the Panel, decline to award the Scholarship in any year.
7.3	On the recommendation of the Panel, to extend the term of the Scholarship.
8.	Each applicant is required to deliver on or before the 15th January, 1994, his/her application form, together with a certified copy of his/her V.C.E. results, as well as acceptance to the University or College of his/her choice.
8.1	Details of his/her financial situation and that of his/her immediate family.
8.2	Any other written material requested by the Panel.
8.3	Any other relevant material which he/she wishes to be taken into consideration by the Panel.
The above documents will be treated in confidence and may be collected from the Panel at the conclusion of the interview.

"Artists for Chernobyl" Concert 1993
This year marks the 7th anniversary of the Chernobyl Catastrophe and the number of victims, especially in young children, is ever on the increase. We are made aware of this situation through regular information which is faxed by Dr. Botté, an eminent surgeon attached to the Oncological Unit at the Neuro-Surgical Section of the Children's Hospital in Kiev; this is also where our Siemens SI-250 Ultra-Sound machine and Probe were installed last December. This ingenious piece of electronic wizardry was put into full use immediately after installation and has been working almost incessantly since day one, so we are told!
In keeping with the advice of world specialists in the fields of medicine and radiology, such as Professors Huda and Barvinsky, and Radiologist, Professor Roman Kozak from Canada and America, The Australian Chernobyl Children's Relief Foundation Inc. will maintain their pledge to supply those connected with the victims of the disaster with medical equipment for self-help, rather than relying on handouts! And so it is that we, The Artists for Chernobyl, have got together again this year for another Special Concert, which will be held at the John Batman Theatre in the World Congress Centre on 5th June, 1993 at precisely 7.30pm. All the proceeds of this Concert will be used exclusively for the purchase of a C.T.C. (Cardio-Toco-Graph), as well as some Intravenous/Infusion Pumps.
In our "pursuit of excellence", Halia and I have secured the services of such well known groups as the "Incomparable Tunari", a South American group of artists from the Andean Region, the "Bayda" Ukrainian Cossack Dance Ensemble,
the Victorian Children's Chamber Choir, etc.....and a surprise
Comedy Duo from the "Fast Forward" Group! The latter will add a bit of mirth to the evening Gala.
We would like to call on the Slovenian Community to help us in this worthy cause; please book now and avoid disappointment! "FELDENKRAIS"
The Feldenkrais method is named after its originator, Dr Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984), a Russian born physicist, judo teacher and movement scientist. Feldenkrais made revolutionary discoveries regarding the relationship between our bodily movement and the ways we think, feel and learn. His insights led to the creation of an exciting new field with vast possibilities for dramatically improving human functioning and quality of life.
The Feldenkrais method:
•	improves posture, flexibility, co-ordination, movement efficiency and elegance;
•	enhances personal growth, emotional and physical well being;
•	eliminates pain and movement restrictions;
•	refines performance skills for athletes, actors, musicians and dancers;
•	increases ability to experience pleasure.
The Feldenkrais method consists of two related techniques: Awareness Through Movement and Functional Integration. Both are designed to reorganise the nervous system and free the person from habitual patterns of moving, thinking and feeling that contribute to chronic pain, stress and other difficulties.
Awareness Through Movement lessons consist of verbally directed, gentle exercises that include a remarkable variety of the movements a human body can perform.
Functional Integration is a one-to-one method of teaching where the practitioner uses sophisticated techniques of gentle touch and passive movement to improve awareness of current movement patterns and then communicates other possibilities available in the individual's organisation that offer alternative choices for action and a richer and more complete functioning. Sem Veronika Ferfolja, Slovenka druge generacije. Na Melbourne Univerzi študiram zadnji letnik zgodovine, kar pomeni, da moram za prejeto diplomo izpolniti nalogo v raziskovalnem študiju.
Odločila sem se, da bi raziskala delo slovenskih mož in žena, kateri so delali v tekstilni industriji v Victoriji. Njihova življenja so del zgodovine slovenskih ljudi v Melbourn-u in se počutim, da jih je pomembno zabeležiti in napisati o njihovih doživetjih.
Najboljši način je, da ženske in moški, ki so delali v tej industriji povedo svoje zgodbe in se zato obračam na vas za pomoč. Iščem Slovence za intervju. Posebno bi rada govorila v osebami, ki so delale akordno delo (piecework), najsibo doma ali v tovarnah. Kot eden od primerov: šivanje ovratnikov na srajce. Na splošno pa bi želela kontakt in informacije od oseb, ki so delale v testilni tovarni - tovarni oblačii.
Če ste ženska ali moški, ki ste prišli v Avstralijo po drugi svetovni vojni in ste v tekstilni industriji bili zaposleni doma ali v tovarni, bi vas prosila za intervju.Vaše življenje je del slovenske zgodovine, katera je v zanimanje moji generaciji in generacijam, ki še prihajajo.

MAJDA ZGOZNIK

Sporočamo žalostno vest, da je v ponedeljek 12. aprila 1993, preminula Majda Zgoznik.
Majda je bila rojena v Selcah na Primorskem 13. julija 1936, se v Avstraliji poročila z Francem Zgoznikom in rodili so se jima trije otroci (Frank, Evelyn in John).
Kruta bolezen je Majdi preprečila veliko željo, da bi videla svojega prvega vnuka, ki je bil rojen 20. aprila, samo pet dni po njenem pogrebu.

Again, we were short of players, but the ones that were there played well and achieved equal

Soccer News . . .
I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break. I know the soccer team did.
Well, the time of truth has finally arrived - Can we really play that game called Soccer? We have been training solidly for over 6 weeks to prepare for the upcoming season. The very first game has finally come upon us - it will be played on Sunday, 25th April at 10.00am.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made bids at our historical "Dutch Auction" at the Latin American Night, which helped make it a huge success. As you know, we auctioned a soccer ball, personally signed by all players, mounted on a lovely wooden trophy stand. On behalf of the soccer team, I would like to thank Frank Jelovčan for making and donating the stand.
