Hoditi za Kristusom, dobrim Pastirjem
Tematika četrte velikonočne nedelje je Kristus dobri pastir. Vse je vzeto iz govora, ki ga je Jezus imel ob prazniku posvetitve templja. Jezus pravzaprav govori o idealni podobi učenca, tistega, ki hodi za svojim Pastirjem, vodnikom in spremljevalcem na poti v| času zemeljskega popotovanja. Jezus potem še doda negativno podobo najemnika in lik volka, kot pravi, da najemnik »pusti ovce in zbeži, ko vidi,1 da prihaja volk, in volk jih pograbi in razkropi«.
Evangelist Janez namreč govori o Kristusovi rešilni ljubezni, o »Božjem življenju« katerega smo deležni. Ni je sile, ki bi nas lahko iztrgala od Boga, ne nesreča, ne vihar. Kdor je v tesnem notranjem razmerju s Kristusom je enako povezan tudi z Očetom: »Jaz in Oče sva eno.« In že v stari zavezi Bog pravi: »... ni ga, ki bi iztrgal iz moje roke« (lz 43,13).
Enako govori apostol Pavel je v Pismu Rimljanom: »Kajti prepričan sem: ne smrt ne življenje, ne angeli ne poglavarstva, ne sedanjost ne prihodnost, ne moči, ne visokost, ne globokost ne kakršna koli druga stvar nas ne bo mogla ločiti ob Božje ljubezni v Jezusu Kristusu, našem Gospodu« (8,38-39). Janez v nadaljnjih vrsticah govori o jasnem izkustvu svojega občestva: niti preganjanja, niti krive vere ne bodo mogle teh ovc ugrabiti njihovemu Pastirju.
Pastirska simbolika obvladuje tudi današnje drugo berilo, ki je vzeto iz Razodetja, kje govori o upanju in trpljenju Cerkve, ki je naslikana. Odlomek je vstavljen v tako imenovani »odsek sedmih pečatov«, ki se izliva v veličastno zborovsko slavje dokončne in eshatološke rešitve. V središču velikanskega odra, ki ga napolnjuje množica, »ki je nihče ni mogel prešteti, iz vseh narodov, rodov, ljudstev in jezikov«, je postavljeno Jagnje, Kristus. V sebi združuje celot-
no pastirsko simboliko: je jagnje in pastir, glava in telo Cerkve. Kakor je to tudi v evangeljskem odlomku, Razodetje tu prinaša odmev preroštva iz Ezk 34 in izjavlja, da jih bo Jagnje »paslo in jih vodilo k izvirom živih voda«.
Ponovno opredeljuje delovanje Jagnjeta v korist »množice« izvoljenih. S svojo krvjo je »opral« in »pobelil« njihova oblačila. Kri Kristusove smrti v sebi zbira kri mučencev »velike stiske«, to je iz sedanjega preganjanja in iz prihodnjega, odločilnega v zgodovini, in učinkovito rešuje vernike ter jih oblikuje po sebi. Oblačilo je namreč znamenje nove resničnosti posamezne osebe in njegova belina označuje udeležbo v Božjem območju in pri eshatološki popolnosti.
O tej povezanosti pričujeta še dve drugi Jagnje-tovi dejanji v prid njegovih izvoljencev. »Razpel bo svoj šotor nad njimi«. »Šotor« in »navzočnost« Boga sredi njegovega ljudstva v Izraelovi skrinji zaveze in v Kristusovem mesu sta bila dva tečaja tako Stare kot Nove zaveze. Popolni »šotor« nebeškega Jeruzalema zdaj v polnosti daje zavetje zboru izvoljenih; popolnoma jih veže na njihovega Odrešenika. Ko Razodetje navaja Izaija, opisuje veselje rešenih, ki je nedotaknjeno ter brez razpoke, in je drugi veliki dar, ki izvira iz povezanosti z Jagnjetom. »Bog bo obrisal vse solze z njihovih oči« in nič hudega ne bo moglo več zamračiti veselja te črede, ki je v Bogu našla svoj mir in svoj dokončni cilj.
Cerkev je na romanju proti temu slavnemu ustju preko s soncem obsijanih planjav in puščav sedanje zgodovine. V nekaterih trenutkih vnaprej doživlja tisto veselje, kadar čuti, kako se v njeni notranjosti razliva Duh. Toda današnji odlomek iz Apostolskih del tudi ugotavlja, da so solze in bolečine še vedno bistveni sestavni del potovanja Božje črede.
Napetost med krščanskimi misijonarji in Judi, doseže vrhunec in se razvname v preganjanje, ki Pavla in Barnaba prisili, da zapustita Antiohijo. Ton pripovedi je prav v tem kontrastu, ki napoveduje končno nasprotje: na eni strani veseli sprejem poga-
nov, ki navdušeno vstopajo v Kristusovo čredo, na drugi strani pa ogorčenje in ljubosumnost judovs-tva, ki si domišlja, da je samodejno del črede, brez notranjega odpiranja in spreobrnjenja.
Danes torej praznujemo dan Cerkve, njenih misijonarjev - »poklicanih«, njenih udov, ki pripadajo vsem narodom, rodovom in ljudstvom, njenega sijaja in njenega trpljenja. Dobri Pastir je tu glavni lik, ki nas vodi, nas »pozna«, nas »kliče po imenu« in nam pomaga tudi skozi solze in grenkosti, da bi nas pripeljal v svoj ovčjak, v svoj mir in v svoje veselje.

V nedeljo, 5. maja 2019, smo se zopet zbrali pri društvu Sava v Breslavu. To popoldne je bilo tako prijetno toplo, da bi jo najraje imeli kar zunaj. Vsekakor smo se zbrali v prenovljeni dvorani. Bogu in Božji Materi smo se priporočili na začetku meseca majnika.
Naslednjič se bomo zbrali pri društvu Sava v juniju, na praznovanju SLOVENSKEGA DNE, 22. junija ob 12:00h.

A wonderful afternoon with beautiful voices, pretty flowers and thankful mother's. Bled celebrated their traditional Mother's Day Lunch on Sunday May 5, 2019. An excellent lunch provided by Elizabeth Gimpelj and several volunteers including Majda Lukežič, Thomas Mes, Miran Mes, Silvia Stankovič and Frank Gimpelj, the servers Luka and Karina Stankovič as well as Nina, Maya and Ashton Marič, did everything from set up to preparing lunch and serving. Special thanks to committee members Frank Sampl, Dan McQueen and Joe Černelič for their efforts in the bar and Roman Štadler, master of ceremonies for Bled. Special thank you to Tony Horvat for taking the pictures.
The afternoon was filed with great food, and Plamen Choir which once again performed with charm and grace. Special thanks to Maria Ahačič-Pollak and Plamen for all their efforts to give the mothers in the crowd a beautiful afternoon of song.

Elias Chacour, the Melkite Catholic Archbishop of Galilee, is a Palestinian Christian. Despite the traumas of his childhood - which included being permanently evicted from his village in Upper Galilee by Israeli soldiers in 1947 - his loving parents handed on a strong faith in God. He tells the story that every Saturday evening his father and mother would go to church to read psalms and ask forgiveness for their sins in confession. Upon their return, they would apologise to the children for any wrongdoing during the previous week. They would also urge them to remember that their true father was God the Fa-

ther. "Now children," they would say, "we have been in church and have confessed our sins and we want you to know that we are not your authentic mother and father because the only one who is the father is God."
His family and the Palestinian Christian community had a strong sense of God's faithfulness to them. Yet, as a priest and now as an archbishop, he has reached out beyond his own community to build bridges of reconciliation with Jewish and Muslim neighbours. In 1982 he built a high school in the village of Ibillin, where he has ministered for more than forty years. It was not only for the small Christian community, but a place where children of all faiths were to be educated under one roof. Today the school has 4,600 students, and he has plans to open what he calls "the first Arab Christian Israeli University". Archbishop Cha-cour has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize three times and is recognised as an international ambassador for Middle East peace through non-violence.
Gospel Teaching
It was winter, and Jesus was in the Temple at Jerusalem with a crowd gathering around him, firing questions. In his reply, Jesus used the metaphor of the shepherd, and spoke about the "sheep" that listened to his voice, and about those that did not. He made some wonderful promises to his "sheep": "I know them and they follow me"; "I give them eternal life"; "they will never be lost". He points out that God the Father, too, has great commitment to and love for the "sheep". Jesus says that his "sheep" hear his voice, that he knows each of them. The one who rose from the dead and thus proved his credentials now promises eternal life. He then makes his divinity clear - "The Father and I are one."
Immediately after this Gospel passage, the Jews fetch rocks to stone Jesus for blasphemy, angry that he has claimed to be God. "You are only a man and you claim to be God," they shout.
Perhaps too they are not happy that he has not spelt out clearly enough for them that they alone are the "sheep" beloved of God. Jesus withdraws from the area. It is reminiscent of the day when he presented himself at the synagogue at Nazareth. The villagers there at first applauded him enthusiastically, but when he told them that the "Good News" was for everyone, not just for the Jewish people, they were outraged and even tried to throw him off a cliff. The first followers of Christ soon realised that their mission was to spread Jesus' teachings far and wide, including "to the pagans". We see this in today's first reading.
Application
The readings today focus on the mission ad gentes, to all the peoples. Archbishop Elias Chcour's Palestinian Christian family felt very special in the eyes of God and indeed the children were encouraged to see God as their authentic Father. Their community was very proud to be a faithful flock, dating the presence of the Palestinian Christians in the Holy Land back to the time of Christ. Yet Elias Chacour has learnt that God's love is for all people, and he now spends his life reaching out to communities of other faiths and helping them all to live together in peace.
We acknowledge the faithfulness of the shepherd and God's love for the "sheep" who follow Jesus. But it is also important that we appreciate the universal character of the message of Jesus. Its starting point is in Jerusalem, but its arrival point is to all the nations, to the ends of the earth. The term "nations" includes all cultures and peoples. As we acknowledge God's faithfulness to our Christian communities, we are also called to embrace the mission of Jesus to reach out to other faiths and cultures - in our own neighbourhoods, as well as internationally - as did the first followers of Jesus.

V	nedeljo, 5. maja 2019, je Bog poklical k večnemu počitku našega farana JOŽETA NEMEC. Pokojni je v aprilu dopolnil 95 let. Z ženo Jolando sta bila eden prvih pravo, ki jih je g. Tomc poročil 1960 še v cerkvi sv. Ane.
Od pokojnega ste se lahko poslovili v Fris-colanti Funeral Chapel na Bartonu v sredo, 8. maja. Ob pol štirih popoldne smo se zbrali pri molitvi za pokoj njegove duše. Pogrebno sveto mašo smo darovali v četrtek ob 10:00 h dopoldne, pogreb je sledil na Gate of Heaven pokopališču.
Iskreno sožalje ženi Jolandi in otrokom. Pokojnemu Jožetu pa večni mir in pokoj.
