225 UDK 069:37(460 Santiago de Compostela) 1.04 Strokovni članek Prejeto: 26. 11. 2014 Branko Šuštar* Pedagoški muzej v Santiagu de Composteli (MUPEGA – Museo Pedagóxico de Galicia) – kot svetilnik in povezava ob Atlantiku Museo Pedagóxico de Galicia – MUPEGA: El faro y el conector del finisterre Atlántico Izvleček Prispevek predstavlja konec leta 2000 usta- novljen Pedagoški muzej Galicije, ki je začel zavzeto delovati že pred odprtjem moderne muzejske stavbe 21. 10. 2004 v Santiagu de Composteli, v prestolnici Galicije na seve- rozahodu Iberskega polotoka. Muzej se je uveljavil leta 2001 s pripravo konference pe- dagoških muzejev Španije in Portugalske (I Foro Ibérico de Museísmo Pedagóxico) in z izdajo knjige o razširjenosti šolskih muzejev po svetu (Os Museos da Educación en Inter- net, 2004). Muzej MUPEGA ima tudi z novo stavbo z različnimi sodobno zasnovanimi muzejskimi prostori, mdr. 1200m² namenje- nih razstavam, ter z nad 40.000 kosi zbranih muzejskih predmetov, pedagoškim in razisko- valnim delom opazno mesto med šolskimi in pedagoškimi muzeji. Njihova stalna razstava o šolstvu predstavlja s premišljenim izbo- rom gradiva, ambientalnimi postavitvami in različnimi muzejskimi pristopi razvoj izobra- ževalne dejavnosti v Galiciji in izseljenstvu v čezmorskih deželah od šolskih stavb, učil, razredov do galerije pedagoških idej in uči- teljstva ter sveta otrok. Abstract The article presents the Pedagogical Museum of Galicia, founded in late 2000, which began its activities even prior to the opening of the modern museum building on 21 October 2004 in Santiago de Compostela, the capital of Galicia in the north-western part of the Ibe- rian Peninsula. The museum made a name for itself in 2001 with the organisation of a con- ference of the pedagogical museums of Spain and Portugal (I Foro Ibérico de Museísmo Pedagóxico) and with the publication of a book about school museums around the world (Os Museos da Educación en Internet, 2004). MUPEGA, with its new building of modern museum spaces, 1200 sq. m. dedicated to exhi- bitions, and with over 40,000 museum objects, as well as through its educational and research work, occupies a prominent place among school and pedagogical museums. Its perma- nent exhibition about schools presents through a well thought out selection of material, exhib- ited in an imaginary way, and through different approaches the development of educational activities in Galicia and emigrant communities overseas by showing school buildings, teach- ing tools, classes, a gallery of teaching ideas, teachers and the world of children. * Branko Šuštar, dr. zgod., muzejski svétnik, Slovenski šolski muzej, Ljubljana, e-pošta: branko.sustar@guest.arnes.si
