UPRAVLJANJE ČLOVEŠKIH VIROV IN RAZVOJ KARIER V VEČJI KNJIŽNICI Jelka Gazvoda, Narodna in univerzitetna knjižnica, Ljubljana UDK 025.1 : 331.108.4 Povzetek Prispevek predstavlja upravljanje človeških virov kot tisti del menedžmenta, ki vzpodbuja razvoj potencialnih zmožnosti zaposlenih za doseganje ciljev organi- zacije. Pri tem je bistvena drugačna percepcija zaposlenih - človek, ki dela v organizaciji, je pojmovan kot kapital in ne kot strošek. Zato je pri upravljanju človeških virov v ospredju vidik potencialne rasti in profesionalnega razvoja zaposlenih, njihovega usposabljanja za prevzemanje novih nalog in spodbujanja inovativnosti. Vodenje knjižnic postaja z uvajanjem novih tehnologij vse bolj kompleksno, zato bodo potrebovale dovolj usposobljene ljudi, ki bodo znali modernizirati njihovo poslovanje in preseči konflikt med tradicionalno organiza- cijsko kulturo in zahtevami sodobnega tehnološko razvitega okolja. Avtorica predstavi različne načine aktivnega upravljanja človeških virov, ki jih lahko uporabimo tudi v večji knjižnici, kjer obstaja dovolj velik krog zaposlenih, s katerimi lahko realiziramo različne programe izobraževanja, kadrovanja, načrto- vanja karier, vzpodbud in nagrad, redefiniranja in obogatitve delovnih mest in drugih oblik notranjega segmentiranja. UDC 025.1 : 331.108.4 Summary Human resource management is presented as a managerial function vvhich is used to develop potential abilities of the employees to achieve organizational goals. Different perception of the employees is essential - people working in the organ- ization are treated as capital and not as an expenditure. In human resource management the most important view of the employees is their potential grovvth and professional development, training for acquiring new responsibilities and encouragement for innovation. Library management is becoming more and more complex as the result of introducing new technologies. For this reason libraries need well trained people with potentials to modernize library performance and to overcome the conflict betvveen the traditional organizational culture and the requirements of the modem technologically developed environment. The author presents different techniques of active human resource management, which can be used in larger libraries where an appropriate number of employees exists to realize different programmes with. These are programmes for education, staffing, career planning, stimmulation and revvard systems, job redefinition and enrich- ment, and other forms of internal segmentation.
