Vsakemu posamezniku in vsem skupaj, čast, priznanje in prisrčna hvala! Bratje in sestre! Ta klic, ta opomin moramo imeti vedno pred očmi. "Remember Pearl Harbor" moramo imeti vedno v mislih. Nastopili bodo sle-ieči igralci: Frank Kushar, Anton Beljan, Valentin Capuder, Stanley Vesel in John in Joseph Žagar. To so grozne številke! O Cvetni nedelji minulega leta v Jugoslaviji smo že mnogo pisali in še pišemo.. 7.—Ne kradi z Nemcem in Italijanom slovenske svetinje, slovenske žrtve in slovensko delo. O SIJAJNEM PATRIOT1ČNEM SHODU V JOLIETU, ILL. Res je bil lep prizor, ko so v krasnih uniformah, pod vodstvom kapitanke Josephine Mahkovec junaško korakala kalne slovenske sekcije, glavni tajnik JPO-SS in glavni tajnik KSKJ in otvoril shod z lepim nagovorom. Cerkveni pevski zbor pod vodstvom Mr. Antona Rozmana skupno z avdienco je naj prvo zapel našo patriotično himno "Star Spangled Banner" potem je zbor dodal še sam nekaj krasnih narodnih pesmi. Nato je bil občinstvu predstavljen naš častni gost, minister Snoj, katerega so vodile k odru dve deklici v narodnih nošah in sicer gdč. Mildred in Olga Erjavec, hčerke Mrs. Josephine Erjavec, glavne tajnice Slovenske ženskel zveze. G. M. Kuzma, pomožni župnik; Frank E. Vrani-char, glavni nadzornik ABZ; Josephine Erjavec, glavna tajnica SŽZ; Josephine Muster, glavna blagajničarka SŽZ; F. J. Videč, glavni tajnik DSD in načelnik lokalnega nabiralnega odbora JPO-SS,; John Ada-mich, tajnik in Louis Kosmerl, blagajnik lokalnega odbora, in Michael Radakovich, voditelj lokalnih Srbov. Poglejte, kako že sedaj ljudje druge narodnosti javno hvalijo in pripoznava jo junaštvo, zmožnost in dobro delo naše Jugoslavije nasproti Nemčiji. Najprej so ga zadeli v nogo. The triple blow succeeded in knocking the Germ boys into second place and pushed the Jurors into first place. The latter now lead the pack vith a slim margin of one game. Kocman had a 579 series and Trontel came through vith a 568. Captain Frank Zupancich and Ray Ivan held up the seore for the losers. Our Supreme President John Germ came through vith a 373 series. The Jurors had to battle for the second game, breezing through by four pins— thanks to Harry Raspefs 216. The boys vere glad to see Alex Prelesnik in the rooting section. He seems to be fully recovered after his recent illness. Niče to have you back, "Al." The fact that there was too much Mikatich and Krasovec on alleys 3 and 4, caused the Culig Grocers to sink deep-er and deeper in the celUrr position. What shall we do to defend the financial stability of the Lnion and protect its present membership? 2. What restrictions shall be imposed on newly admitted members ? Brothers and Sisters, we are cognizant of impending dan-ger. Let us not think that only those in military service or dan-gerous work, or those vvho live coastal cities are in danger, but ali of us face danger. Therefore, it is necessary that vve make proper provisions to safeguard the Union and its members. Let Pearl Harbor serve as an example to us. In regard to other topics relative the insurance of our soldier-members we shall discuss at tomorrow's session. Bro. Littie Sam-my and his "Crazy Hoosiers" vili be there. Of course, there will be a fev missing, but you can bet your last nickel that there will be fun and laugh-ter galore when the gang arrives. Disi% just for the fun of it, let s teli the folka who will be there: Dan-nya and Louie have been packing for a month, and of course, they have Gus s accordion with their baggage. Itch and his Root Beer gang have their team aH Hned up and awaiting the foul beli. Johnny, Jada, and Frecks have already asked for an extra day off, and I knov that they are not going to visit relatives that veek. Big Rip and Joe Toth are rarin' to go. Naturally some of the old guard have joined the armed forces of our country. However, ve finally persuaded some of the other members to join us in this great fun frolic. Incidenta^, ve will hold initiation services for these nev members on Sun-day, Aprir 19, at 2 p. m. in VVaukegan, 111. Diary, if I vere you, I vould make it a point to be there. It will be something veli worth watching. Now, diary, let us contact some of cur friends in the other cities. Hov about Chicago, Cleveland, Joliet, and Milvaukee? I haven't read anything about them in Our Page. Littie Sam-my and his "Crazy Hoosiers" are von-dering if they are going to be in VVaukegan. We are very anxious to renev old acquaintances. Traveling farther west let us stop in Colorado. VVhat are the cowboys pianning for this coming event? Will they be there together vith our illus-trious President? I would like to have some information regarding my "Lucky Worry Bird." For the past year I have been worrying about him. I hope that the cowboys have given him a good home. I also wish that they bring him to VVaukegan this year. So diary, once again I am asking ali of our Kay Jay brothers and sisters to get in the sving and start the bali rolling toward \VaUkegan. Let us try to make this the best tournament ever. Getting back to our local Kay Jay activities, I have this to report: At the final meeting the Hoosiers decided to send four teams to Waukegan. Of course, there will be about ten or fif-teen loyal rooters. It was also decided to hold a friendly get-together party on Saturday, April 11, at 8 p. m. The two busy bees vho were delegated to report various social affairs of the lodge, exhausted their supply of hon-ey and so they just buzzed away. It then fell upon the shoulders of Littie Sammy to keep the enthusiasm at a high piteh. So novv I am asking ali local Kay Jay members, young and old, to make a date to be at our get-togeth- For the information of spme of. our members who never attended a Kay Jay tourney, I have only this to say. The "Crazy Hoosiers" are making quite a name for themaeives. I don't mean that they vin the tournaments. That doesn't mean thst they don't try. Hov-ever, when it boils down to fun and good fellovship, the "Crazy Hoosiers" walk away vith aH honors. I am sure thst Chicago and MHwaukee will agree wlth me on this point. So once more we are participating In another tournament. Naturally, ve are going there to win. However, if we don't succeed in winning a tltle or trophy in the bovling events, we know that we will be right on top vhen the honors are avarded for fun, fellowship, and kind-liness. After ali, I believe that that is the primary purpose in promoting these tournaments. So to use the words of another of our Ksy Jay members: Set 'em up, VVaukegan, the "Crazy Hoosiers" are coming to tovrn. "J.ITTLE SAMMY.' BROOKLYNITE EXPIRES BROOKLYN, N. Now that spring is here and the weather favor-able, the "Bees" have gathered a littie neetar for their weekly column. During their two weeks' absence, due to the weather, it is quite evident that the "Bees" have accomplished and achiev-ed their purpose. Now, if you dear readers will kindly serutinize through the rest of the editorials, you will notice s littie columning or news by our beloved and esteemed ex-editor, Littie Sammy. For months, yes, perhaps a year, we have looked forward to reading Littie Sammys "Dear Diary." But lo and be-hold, the "Bees" diseovered that Littie Sammy's Diary was only a one year diary book. So they bought him another one so that he may continue his weekly entries. And once again we have Sammy in our midst. But Sammy does not know how we happen to be in print along with him. It is a sham that he had to stay so long (we would have bought him a diary book sooner, had we known) and it does seem funny that he again should make a few entries just two weeks prior to the big Midwest tournament. Is Littie Sammy governed, as the swa!lows from Capi-strano, by nature, or does the Midwest shall buzz around just a littie mord often and teli you, or should we? So, Littie Sammy, we bid you wel-come. May your stsy be as en j oy able as it has been in the past. But brother, we have not buzzed away or any-where else.
