An exhibition, accompanying events and a call for literary submissions at the Slovenian School Museum Izvleček Razstava Šola iz zemlje: učenje visokih Andov, ki jo je v sodelovanju z muzejem pri­ pravila svobodna novinarka Tina Zgonik, je prikazala nastajanje in delovanje šole v Wari­ sati na planoti Altiplano v Boliviji v letih 1931 -1940 ter nas popeljala v miselni svet starih Andov. Šola kot skupnost je model izobraže­ vanja, ki postaja vedno bolj aktualen tudi v zahodni družbi. Občutljivost, s katero doži­ vlja svet andski staroselec, ponuja alternativo osamljenemu, od družbe in narave izolirane­ mu potrošniku. Ob razstavi smo pripravili raznovrsten spre­ mljevalni program od predavanj, delavnic in literarnega natečaja na temo: Kaj je dobro življenje? S čim prispevam k boljšemu svetu? Kako lahko jaz spreminjam svet? Bodi sam sprememba, ki jo pričakuješ v svetu! (Gandhi). V nadaljevanju so objavljeni nagrajeni prispev­ ki natečaja osnovnošolcev in srednješolcev. Abstract The exhibition, which was jointly organised by the freelance journalist Tina Zgonik and the museum, described the school and school activities at Warisata on the Altiplano pla­ teau in Bolivia between 1931 and 1940; it also helped visitors enter the mindset of the ancient Andes. The school as community is an educational model which is increasingly relevant in Western societies. The sensitivity with which an Andean native experiences the world offers an alternative to the consumer isolated from society and nature. Alongside the exhibition, a diverse accompanying pro­ gramme was organised, involving lectures, workshops and a call for literary submissions on the themes: What is a good life? What am I contributing to a better world? How can I change the world? “Be the change that you wish to see in the world!” (Gandhi). There follows the publication of the prize-winning literary works submitted by primary and sec­ ondary school pupils.
