_ _L-J»1* » •• II. |Mi ——\>U*tW- oatlU SMlMkl --I mi« 4 .Mr-I, I ki OSr.-UM. omÊbwmmM-- oscmu-MIM» ÏSûwil OSr.-Mk4. Danes hočem izraziti moje mnenje glede naših investicij v bondih. Naj že vnaprej povem, da ni moj namen kritizirati onih, kateri so v preteklosti upravljali jednotino premože-nje. » Ze tri leta prehaja Amerik« skozi težko gospodarsko krizo. Kakog ruši potresa« katastrof« bogata mesta in razpadalo palače pod ponovnimi sunki, tako ie rušijo in razpadejo naše gospodarske institucije, finančne, trgovske in industrijalne. To so: I, federalni bondi, 2, munici-palni bondi in S. zlate hipr>teke. , I. Zlale hipoteke. Skoraj vss velika mesta so bils zmožna izplačevati svoje obligacije. Naše izgube so vse po tistih mslih vaseh v Floridi, No. Carolini in Tezasu. Obljube malo višjih obresti so nasVjmamlle, da amo kupovali bonde t krajih, kjer eo se vršile špekulacije i zemljišči. Seveda, "boom" v Floridi ni trajal dolgo in potem je prišel glavobol. 3. Federalni bondi. Ti bondi so najvarnejši izmed vseh. To Je vse premslol Pregle-dovsl sem rszličns poročils in zspssil, ds imajo druge organi zacije mnogo večji odstotek svojega premoženje vloženegs federalnih bondih. Mojs priporočila glede naših investicij v bodoče so sledeča: 1. Preveč smo rsztreseni po vsej Ameriki in so ta posojils v zvezi ( prevelikimi stroški 2. Nadaljnje investiranje naših fondov v municipslne bonde. 4. Gl. porotni odsek i U>m nikakor ne zagovarja postopanja br. HI- It seems aa if the ferm question won't stay buried. After being thrashed baok and forth through the columns of the Prpeveta for many weeka, It la again revived. It aeema to me that any member who haa the Intereet of the organisation at heert and stopped to ponder the problem, wouldn't consider this the proper time for SNPJ to enter colonisation or other Utopian achemes proposed. Times like the present, when Ute old outworn eocial order la crumbling all around ua, with all our inetitutlons, including the SNPJ, bottling for their exiatonce, it should be the duty of every member to try and keep our orgnnlsation on sound business footing.
